Ruth was born and raised near Winnebago, Walthill area. Graduated from Walthill in 1954. Taught school for 1 year.

Ruth and Merlin were married on April 16, 1955. Ruth and Merlin lived in Seattle while Merlin was in the Service. He was discharged in 1957. Ruth and Merlin moved back to West Point that year. Ruth and Merlin had 3 children Douglas born in 1957, Darla born 1963 and Daniel in 1964.

Ruth started working at W.P.P.S in 1971.  She retired in 2001. She engjoyed the 30 years she was there.

When Merlin passed away in Jan. 2016, it has made a whole different world for her. She really depends on her kids, and grandkids. They have been so very supportive, as have all of our familes been..
