Along with many people, I watched sal on tv, but just yesterday for the first time not realizing it wasnt a new show. I had made my mind up before the end that I was going to write him a letter. I've been so down after seeing he passed. I felt like I have known him for a long time! My condolences to ur family sal. I hope to meet u one day.

I saw the show and want to say, R.I.P. seemed like such a good guy!

Watching the show right now, how did he pass? So sad, young and kids.

I never met Sal as I live in NY..but I have seen him on MSNBC' s lockup a few times and he is proof that not all people serving time are scum..he seemed to have great qualities and a great sense of humor. I never met him but I wish I did..he seems like someone I would love to have as a friend. RIP Sal..soar high. As you can see you touched the lives of many, some who never even met you.

I always thought that everything I had been through was going to be the hardest things that I would ever go through.... Until we lost you!! Losing you was the most painful thing I have ever had to accept!You were my other half, my Knight as u would say!! I have accepted that u r gone & at peace & 4 that I am grateful! I know u r happy that I am & with the best man a girl could ever wish 4!

Sal, you will be truly missed though i never met you you will always have a place in my heart, thanks for the inspiration and your such a beautiful guy it seemed stay golden!

I don't know Sal, "but" I saw him on MSNBC and could not believe someone with a larger than life personality passed. Sorry to all family and friends for this loss. Sal just seemed like the kind of guy everyone would love to hang out with.
