  • 59 years old
  • Born on August 4, 1955 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, United States.
  • Passed away on June 11, 2015 in Everett, Washington, United States.

This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Sandra “Sandie” Ann Marlatt.

Just before noon on Thursday, June 11, 2015, Sandie passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, WA.  Sandie was 59 years old.

Sandie was born at Door County General Hospital in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin on Thursday, August 4, 1955. She was the first child of Leonette Agnes and Allen Charles Demmin.

Sandie always had a very caring heart and having 6 younger brothers and sisters she always cared and looked after them growing up. Her caring nature didn’t stop with her brothers and sisters. Sandie ran an in home daycare for 33 years. She cared for and helped to guide countless children over the years. Some of whom as they grew up, enlisted her help in caring for their children as well. She always went above and beyond anyone’s expectations and helped in anyway she could. She also worked for many years in the nursery at church where she was able to serve God through caring for those children.

She was an active member of the Garfield Elementary PTA while her children attended the school and was awarded the Golden Acorn Award.  Long after her children grew up she continued to volunteer her time at Garfield Elementary in the School Bell program which provided kids with shoes and coats who otherwise would have had to go without.

Sandie loved her family more than anything else and she reminded them of that daily in all the small details. She opened her heart and family to lose who were around her and was always happiest when she was with them.

Sandie was preceded in death by her mother, Leonette Demmin, her dad Allen Demmin, and sister in law Lori Demmin.

Sandie is survived by her husband Patrick Marlatt, son Tyler Marlatt and Arleea Dobson, daughter Dominique and Sam Moses, grandchildren Isabelle Moses, Brooklyn Loveland, Leo Moses, Asher Loveland and Kara Moses, brothers John and Lu Ann Hocks, Sam Demmin, Steven and Lenore Demmin, Sherman Demmin, Dewey and Somjet Marlatt, Michael Marlatt, sisters Sis and Tom Sheeran, Edna Demmin, Sherry and Tom Hickman, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.

Sandie’s viewing will be held at Evergreen Funderal Home at 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA on Thursday, June 25, 2015, 2015 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Her memorial services will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10:00am.

Cards and wishes may be sent to the home of Sandie and Patrick Marlatt.

We will remember her forever.

Sandi has been on my mind so much lately. I was supposed to visit her the day she passed, she passed before I could get there. That still bothers me to this day. Sandie was one of the most thoughtful, caring & compassionate people I have ever met. She helped me countless times, out of the goodness of her heart. We all miss her terribly. I think of her family often & wonder who all of them are doing.

Mom, I can't believe you have been gone 2 years already. I miss you every single day. I've gone through so much without you in these last 2 years and I miss more than anything that we could have our daily phone calls. I love you so much mom.
