Amazing Grace - Her last words in life...

May 19, 2012

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
and mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
a life of joy and peace.

When we've been here ten thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

In her death, God was with us...

May 19, 2012

Hello everyone... Just wanted to take some time today to let you all know that I am doing as well as one can be considering everything... Today I was able to get the final work done to start the process of getting my mom cremated so we can move forward with her next wishes, which were to have her ashes spread over a beautiful garden. I am also going to have Shaun and friends start the process of working out the details to put together a nice memorial where everyone can come together, eat, drink, and be merry. I know that is what she would want. I am thinking about doing this on Saturday February the 11th. Special thanks to my good friend Bill Bergin here in Orlando who has kindly offered his home to be a place to hold the memorial for my mom. His house is very very nice, sits on a beautiful lake and is a great place to bring people together and remember my mom. Shaun and I will keep everyone posted and make sure the invitations get to you all.
This has been such a hard process. Two weeks ago when this all started I would have never imagined that I would be sitting here today making plans for a memorial for my mom... In the last two weeks there have been so many things that have happened along the way that have brought me not only closer to many of you on FB, but to Shaun, Shaun's family, and also to God. I can honestly tell you I would not be sitting here feeling as good as I do if it weren't by the grace of God and the comfort he has given me...
For those of you who are not close to God or don't believe, let me tell you about few things that have happened over the last 2 weeks and then maybe you can take another look and you will see that God is really there, epecially in times like this when you need him...
Reason 1: Friday January 27th, early afternoon. While Shaun and I were visiting my mom, a nurse came in to put a PIC Line in my moms arm to put medication to go straight to her heart. While she was cleaning my moms arm she sang Amazing Grace and while doing this my mom was mouthing the words, and me, Shaun and the nurse were all singing together. >Ernest Kohl today told me that since I was so much in to music (and because that was my moms favorite song) God found his way through the nurse to be able to communicate with me that my Mom was going to be all right, maybe not alive, but all right meaning that she will be going to heaven and will always be in a good place...

Reason 2: Sunday January 30th, early evening (before my mom had passed)... After visiting my mom and seeing her in a coma state where her eyes were open but there was no movement. All we could do is sit there and get in front of her and tell her we love her, rub her arms and legs, and hope and believe she could at least hear us and know that we were there for her. When I got home I started to pray, and pray, and pray, and pray, and in my final prayer I asked God that if she was going to suffer in any way, or if she was going to be in this coma/vagatative state for long to go ahead and please take her now... > In less then 12 hours God answered my prayers and took her at a time where she wasn't in any pain or suffering at all. She totally went in peace and comfort. She had passed on Monday, January 30th at 7:51 AM (This is important time... read on)...

Reason 3: Monday January 30th 7:15AM.: I woke up to a phone call from my moms Doctor saying her body was starting to shut down and I should get there as quickly as possible... I woke up Shaun and told him what was going on. Shaun was over come with emotion and was having a hard time keeping it all together. I on the other hand, had a great feeling of comfort and strength, and was able to keep myself together until we got to the hospital.. On the way, at 7:49 I spoke with my Uncle Kenny in Rockford, Illinois to let him know what was happening and that I was on my way to the hospital. The call only lasted about a minute...
Next at 7:51, while still on the Interstate I looked up to the sky and I told Shaun this... "Look how beautiful the sky is today... There isn't a cloud around to get in the way to blocking my mom from going to heaven." He agreed and we proceeded to the hospital where We were greeted and brought in to this little room and was told that m y mom had passed away very peacefully at 7:51 AM.
> God was showing me how beautiful the sky was and my attention was drawn to the sky so I could see my moms spirit being taken at that exact time... I have NEVER commented on how beautiful the sky was before, and anyone that knows me that that is not something I have ever done. I am telling you that God was showing me my moms spirit entering the gates of heaven and the reason the sky looked so much more clearer and brighter then normal is because I was seeing an amazing preview of how great Heaven is and will be for me, you, and anyone else who believes in God.

Lastly: For my friends and family that know me more on personal level know that I am a Christian, I went to church more when I was younger, but I have found God, was born again many years ago, and have believed ever since. My actions today as a DJ, a drinker, and a party go-er do show that I am not a perfect person, just like everyone else here on earth.. And many would not even assume that I believe in God, and that I DO pray all the time for all my friends and family, especially when they are in need or have a crisis, just like I am having now... My point is that even in all my imperfections, the fact that I have found God, believed in God, and in doing so, God has been with me through this entire journey, and will continue to carry me until it is my turn to enter heaven. Non of this for which I have told you has been made up or even slightly exaggerated. It is exactly how it happened. That is why I say the events that happened and continue to happen would make a non-believer believe!
