Hello again Sandra. It's that time again for me to tell you how much we all miss you here. We hope you are in a happy place with mom and other loved ones who we hold dear to our hearts. I really miss you being around but I don't have to tell you that. I'm sure you know. I just want to say please be happy and know that I will be meeting up with you one day soon. Hopefully not too soon but soon enough. Love you to the moon and back my dear sis.

Hi Sandra. It's that time again that I have to be reminded that you left this earth. That was the day we lost a very important and much loved member of our family. It hasn't been easy on any of us since you and mom left. Our family has an empty hole that can't be filled and it hurts deep in our hearts. Please know that you are much loved by all of us and that you will never ever be forgotten. Love your sis, Laura

Happy 66th birthday Sandra. Wow, I can't believe it's been that long since we shared our September birthdays together. You wouldn't believe how old I am now. You look as beautiful today as you did when you were here with us. Always glamorous and dressed so well. I wish we could share a laugh or two and a drink to celebrate our birthdays together. I'm sure mom and aunt Fran are busy making you a special dinner up in Heaven to celebrate your special day. I miss you so much and so do Megan and Landon. Things haven't been the same since you left. Take care my dear. See you again next year.

From humble beginnings to heavenly riches, you touched so many along your "comet-like travels" and have left your family always wishing for just another "star-lit moment" with you, Sandy! God Bless your soul always, Sandy, on your special birthday, and pray you keep shining your unique and inviting "beacon of hope" for all of us to keep moving forward with thankfulness at past times spent with you!! Your cousin, Tim :)

Thinking of you on this special day when you arrived on terra firma.
You were golden, you are star dust.

Remembering a very special sister today and always. You were a very special spirit in this world. You brought a lot of happiness to your family and friends and will remain the great spirit even away from this earth. I hope you and mom and aunt Fran are enjoying the beautiful sunshine, the white clouds and the flowers and green grass up in Heaven. I know one day I will see you all but until then you will remain in my heart forever.

My dear sister Sandy, I think of you each and every day. You and mom as I look at your picture on my wall of the two of you embracing one another as you are now in the Heavens above. It puts a smile on my face when I see the two of you hugging one another. I miss you and I love you. Please know that you are always in my thoughts dear sister. Love sis, Laura xoxoxoxo

Two years today you left this earthly plain for a place to soar and reinvent yourself, as I am certain you have done. I know if you could read this mom you would be so content to know that I am living a quieter life by the sea, being in nature each day. We all are loving it here and each time I see the birds chirping away happily I think of you and gram enjoying your spirit lives now.

Although I see you every day Sandra I still miss your presence, the sound of your voice. Your spirit lives forever in the hearts of those you left behind.

Happy Birthday dear Sandy my one and only sister. Today we would be celebrating together with laughter, birthday cake, family all together including mom who is also with you now. We can't celebrate together in person today but you will be in my heart and my thoughts all day long as always. I hope you enjoy your day wherever you are. Love you lots, your sis Laura

As the fireflies glow,
and the cold harmattan breeze blow,
the lantern you lit these past years,
will continue to illume our hearts soaked in tears.
You left when we needed you most,
but your foes seperated you from gentle ghost.
Adieu.

camping

I will never forget the night we spent by the fire sitting at the picnic table telling stories, jokes, and most of all, the little plastic frog with a wire attached to a deflating pump. We made that frog dance, jump, stand, you name it we did it. That little plastic frog gave us so much laughter we couldn't contain ourselves. My sister loved to joke around and made everyone laugh. She could entertain anyone at any time. Love her so much and miss her so much. That's a given.

So many stories

Shared by Tiffany Thornton on October 22, 2011

My mother, Sandra, Sandy, a woman with such a wonderful array of stories.

I remember being transfixed as a teenager and young woman listening to stories of her travels in Hawaii, how she was swept under the ocean in a tidal wave, and survived, travels on a helicopter with friends, journies in Nepal, sleeping in a no windows hotel in India with monkies all around her,. an adventurer Sandra was, and thus I have followed suit a traveller at heart, an adventurer a lover of culture.

My mother and i had our differences, yet we shared many funadamental commonalities, in which my mom was adament in instilling in both my sister and I from a very young age. Love each other, respect others, love nature, love animals, always have a voice and be true to you. Be proud of who you are, and who you become and never, ever let anyone walk all over you.

As Autumn is amoung us, and the leaves change, the crispness lingers in the air, I reflect often on our time together, the things that made her spirit dance.

Nature, entertaining, great food, cooking, baking, decorating, friends and family,  a one of a kind for sure, never ever replacable, and I am sure a hostess and entertainer in Heaven.

Love you.

Tiff

PS Thank you Laura for deciding to have this created.
