Sarah Ann Grissom, 75, a native and longtime resident of Granville County passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Hillside Nursing Home in Wake Forest, N.C.

She was the daughter of the late Charlie Gilbert and Nellie Virginia Grissom. Sarah was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 22. 2017 at Providence Baptist Church by Dr. Randy Pittman. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Surviving is a sister, Jean Hedrick (Gary) of Wake Forest; two brothers, James “Tilley” Grissom and Leonard Grissom, both of Stem; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Allen Grissom; sisters, Frances Etheridge, Pansy Evans, Virginia Grissom and bothers, Claude, Harold and Wayne Grissom.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 1:45 P.M. Friday, September 22, 2017 at Providence Baptist Church and at other times Sarah’s previous home in Stem.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church.
