I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living,
My Mommy you'll be.
70 years old
Born on June 6, 1944 in Longview, Washington, United States
Passed away on January 5, 2015 in Battle Ground, Washington, United States
This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Sharon Whitney, 70 years old, born on June 6, 1944, and passed away on January 5, 2015. We will remember her forever.
Remembering my dear Sharon today as I always do on June 6. But I know I will see her again in Glory very shortly. I know she is rejoicing to be where she is now and for eternity.
I just received this news and I am devastated! I have lost a forever friend. God sent Sharon into my life at a time when I really needed her. She ministered to me and helped me through a very difficult time and we became sisters. I look forward to strolling through Heaven with her someday in the not so distant future. Chris, Tim, Mike, and Matt, I am so sorry. I know you will miss her terribly! I know I will.
Ahh, Sharon, we found, as you moved in next door, that we had a few things in common…we were mothers of boys, and we both knew Jesus as Lord and Savior. Being a single mother is a responsibility that, I think, is pretty near beyond all others. But knowing God never gives us assignments that are too difficult for us, as long as we are looking to Him for our strength and help, He knew you were the one for this task. And a mother of all boys on top of it all :D I have loved having boys, and I must admit, during our times together I was rather amused with how you could so easily, with that beautiful smile of yours, use words to ease a situation or explain a situation that put humor and a light- hearted touch on what ever was being shared. We both loved that our youngest ones Joel and Mat had found such a fun friend right next door. I am so thankful to know you are home and refreshed, loving our Lord with your eyes, your smile, and your heart !!! So glad to have known you and Mat. And I thank our Lord for that opportunity :)
I am so saddened knowing that we will not meet again here on earth, but I look forward to a Heavenly reunion. My prayers are being lifted for you, Matthew, and the rest of your family. Your mom was amazing!
It's been 57 years since you moved to my town and school and we became friends. You are now at peace and out of pain, my dear old friend. We love you and God loves you too. Until we meet again....
My dear, Sharon, my lovely special friend, I will miss you but just as we always have, we will be able to catch up without a hitch, once we meet again. Love you!
A signing card was given to Sharon (mom) on her 70th birthday. She had to actually blow on the card to start the singing birthday song. She could not stop laughing.
