One of my first interactions thru the Center was at your home. We dangled our toes in your pool...ate great food...talked recipes in the kitchen; but the deepest impression left was in your soulful eyes and sweet words. You were the perfect practitioner - you walked in the spirit of the prayer & your welcoming hugs punctuated the kindnesses you spoke. I will miss your physical presence, but your energy will always have a seat in our congregation. Love you.lady.

Dear Beautiful Friend, I have so many fond memories of you. We shared so much bliss at our monthly tea parties. You always had great stories to share with us about your life. One of my fond memories about you was at Anna and Roger's wedding. I was trying to snap a good picture of you and your smile was so small. Finally, I said, "Shirley. Think of the last time you had really good sex." Wow! That was the biggest smile I'd seen on anyone. You will be forever missed and you know what? We're all coming to join you some day. Mom, I will miss you dearly!

Thank You for all your guidance in helping me raise my precious children. I will miss your advice and keen eye in helping me become a better mother. You truly knew your stuff! I know your lessons for me were cut short, there just wasn't enough time, but know when I am not sure what I should do...I can sit quietly and hear what you would have told me. You are with me heart and soul forever! So until we meet again...this is just how it will have to be.

And Mom, I am so blessed I could be a part of sending you off on your next journey. Your were the first person I saw coming into this world, and I was so honored to be the last person You saw. Sweet & Sad all mixed together. Like Peanut Butter and Bananas.

One last thing, remember the book "Love You Forever" by Robert Munsch? It was one of the first books you gave me when I became a Mother:

"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you always,
As long as I'm living
my Mommy you'll be."

Just like the book. I never got a chance to tell you before you left, but I understand how important that is and will carry it on in my family as your legacy.
