We just lost my uncle Major General S.K.Omojokun a few hours ago this Christmas afternoon. A complete gentleman of integrity and an epitome of uprightness, he touched many lives while serving Nigeria in various capacities as Director of the NYSC, Ambassador to Cuba, Minister for Labour and Productivity, etc etc. He will most fondly be remembered as my amiable and gentle Uncle. He was one of the closest people to my father and we were just like one single happy family. I grew up in awe and respect of this great man and never ceased to marvel at how nothing seemed to faze him and how he seemed to remain so calm and unflappable regardless of what was going on around him.
He was a patriotic and great son of Ilara Mokin, our own little geographical corner of the world. Ilara has lost a gem today, one of the last of that 'Golden Generation' of Mokin sons whose lights shone brighter than the noonday sun. Rest on Daddy, till we meet to part no more. By Ayodele Bakare
You are such a rare one!
You touched so many lives and you always have a way of making everyone special in their own way no matter what.
My Sweet Daddy, My Best Friend.
I love you more Daddy.
Always Your little Girl

Our Famous School (Igbobi College) Song
"Teach me thy best that all the world may know,
What it is to have come from thee,
Teach me that I into the world may go,
Struggling ever for thy fame, Igbobi,
Refrain:
Give me a torch, which shall shine
And pour on all afar and near
Its radiance divine
Let hill and vale these tidings bear
Wherever there’s an Igbobian
There also is a noble Nigerian.”

Your legacies are speaking for you. One of your legacies, Pastor Funmi Obilana-the Apple of your heart, my own mother-in-the Lord, is still keeping the Flag of Transformational Leadership so high!
I am a beneficiary of that Wisdom and leadership skills you displayed as a Director of NYSC in Nigeria, then. I learned that from my modern school Civics Classes.
Adieu, Ogagun Agba Omojokun! May your soul continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord, till we meet at the feet of Jesus Christ.
" The second born of the twins "wich is true:) I know you are happy now and that God is watching over you, You are missed <3
Rest In Peace
I greet all the children and relatives of The Omojokuns and Pray The LORD GOD our King and Saviour console and strengthen you In The Name of Jesus amen.
My Pastor, Mrs Funmi Obilana always spoke fondly and beautifully of her dad, And though I never met him in person, I had great admiration for the qualities he represented and I know he must have been a very strict Teacher to many of his former students.
Please give Glory to God for his life has been a BIG Blessing to many Nigerians.
The LORD will grant you all a safe and peaceful celebration of his life In The Name of Jesus amen.
My Big Daddy and My Mentor
I can't call you my Uncle, oh Never, you're my father, you're my mentor. You thought me so much and gave me so much strength.
I could remember the day I brought my husband to you for counsel, you gave us so much that money can't buy and till today. They still work for us. You told us to always read Psalm 23 no matter what and trust me daddy, that Psalm works wonder for us all the time. Hmmm.. I have so much to share, but I'm still in shock of your death, I still can't believe I won't see you again. I remember our last conversation on phone last year. You said I should make my husband my best friend and put God first in everything we do. Even when I don't call you with my number, just at the 'Hello' you call my name back because you already know my voice on the phone. Sleep on dearest big daddy in the bosom of God. You're such an angel and you've done your part. One request daddy: please ask God to UNITE all the OMOJOKUNs worldwide and make us one. I know this is also going to make you happy in heaven.
Love you forever my dearest big daddy and Mentor. ADIEU
