Dear S. Gloria
words cannot express enough the profound sorrow you have left in our hearts. If it were possible we would have prevented death. But we humbly accept it as the will of God. when you came to Kenya and we formed community in Nyalianga I found in you a sister with whom we could learn together, explore together and adventure together. You were open, direct and very practical. exact opposite of who I was then. but we found ways of working together. I cant seem to put together your name and the word death in the same sentence. You were always available and always willing to share your gifts. whenever one was in need you were there to help if it was within your means. You exhibited both gentleness and firmness together. I already miss you sister. Heaven has gained. Go on to your maker. may you Know of Gods peace. May Gods light shine on your face

Dear Sister Gloria,

You have left an unforgettable mark, forever printed in our hearts.

The love you always lived, truly enfleshed Christ made visible in you.

You were authentic in word and deed, and your presence lighted up the room whenever you walked in....

As you now watch us from above as our ancestor, intercede for us to remain true to all God intended us to be.

Thankyou for the life we shared....I am grateful.

Dear Sr. Gloria,
You were such a gift to me. A gift that will freely offer yourself to me and all who needed your help. Very unique creature of God. Like Blessed Mother Theresa, you believed in living your faith, your call in action. You walked your talk. You were a woman of few words and yet did so much. Now that God has decided to take you to Himself, I highly believe you are with Him now, so please intercede for me and all that you have left behind. Your absence is too much for me and for us Sr. Glo, pray that God will fill that space that you have left in our hearts.

You have worked tireless for the one who called you, you have fought the good fight, you have run your race to the finish, may you now receive the crown that awaits you. I will forever miss you my dear sister.

In the quiet corners of memory, where the echoes of kindness linger and the warmth of a gentle soul still shines, we find the timeless legacy of Reverend Sister Gloria. With grace as her guiding light and compassion as her compass, she touched countless lives with a love that knew no bounds.

During our 10th anniversary celebration, as I stood as chairperson, I was privileged to witness firsthand the radiant spirit of Rev. Sr. Gloria. Her presence breathed life into every moment, infusing our gatherings with a sense of unity and purpose. With her unwavering support and boundless wisdom, she became the heart and soul of our endeavors, guiding us with a steady hand and a gentle smile.

Beyond her role as a leader, Rev. Sr. Gloria was a beacon of hope and inspiration to all who crossed her path. Her words were like seeds of encouragement, planting themselves in the hearts of those who sought solace and guidance. Through her deeds, she taught us the true meaning of service, reminding us that the greatest measure of our lives lies in the lives we touch and the love we share.

Though she may have left this earthly realm, the light of Rev. Sr. Gloria's legacy continues to illuminate our journey. In every act of kindness, in every moment of compassion, her spirit lives on, a testament to the enduring power of love and the beauty of a life well lived.

Today, as we bid farewell to a beloved friend, mentor, and guide, let us not mourn the loss of Rev. Sr. Gloria, but celebrate the countless blessings she bestowed upon us. For in her memory, we find solace, in her legacy, we find inspiration, and in her love, we find eternal gratitude. Rest in peace, dear Rev. Sr. Gloria, knowing that your light will forever shine bright in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know you.

Dear Rev Sister Gloria, it's really hard to accept this sad & painful reality. I have so many questions to ask God but I remember that we can't question His Authority, knowing fully well that life is full of mysteries. Your death is a mystery that only God understands. Our only consolation is that you have gone to be with your maker whom alone you can find rest. I pray that the Holy Spirit console the big family you left behind, heal our broken hearts and give us the grace to live with the vacuum you left. Rest peacefully in the bossom of Lord.

Sister Gloria, I first encountered you in 2020, about 4 years ago when you came to Epiphany old Chapel one Saturday evening to see how we were preparing or Holy Mass the next day. You sat with the few Lay Readers who were around to rehearse the Readings.
My Journey with you was a great opportunity to learn alot from you. Your sense of humor, humility and dedication to God are values I wish I could emulate. You never hesitateed to correct me or the Liturgical Committee which you and I belong too but in a gentle and respectful manner. You and I called each other anytime when need be like a brother and sister or close friends. I will forever miss your fraternal and godly relationship. I couldn't believe your short illness will take you away from us. You requested for goat meat as your Easter gift and you refused to come home for it. Why Rev.Sr. Gloria???
I am currently following your mortal remains to St.Sylvanis Catholic church for your burial Mass . I believe in the resurrection and know you are not lost. Let's continue to interact as we have in my dreams since you left 2weeks ago. REST IN PERFECT PEACE REV.SR. GLORIA JACINTA OCHU ADOGA.

You were so full of life and joy.  By our human standards, you are too young for Home. God knows best. I have no doubt that you are safely Home. We pray for your family and for your sisters at this sad time. May you rest in eternal peace with the God you served so well. Dear Sr. Gloria,
It hurts! It pains to think that you are no more. Just in March 2024 we were together at the Provincial Assembly. As usual you were doing everything to make us all feel comfortable-working tirelessly in the kitchen, ensuring everything was available in the rooms, planning for the priests to come for mass, getting the WiFi working, planning our pick ups to and back to the airport, making sure that we had the goodies and other stuff to carry back to our communities/countries. Working on our refunds and making sure we had some pocket money...Glo you took time to compile all the songs we would use for mass and other gatherings. You paid so much attention to the other guests who came for meetings to our house, and they spoke passionately about it. Oh Glo, the list is endless my sister....
Gloria you were the available sister and very easy to approach for help. You surely loved being SSND and witnessed to this by your very being. Your passion for SSND was so evident in your words and actions.
We spoke the night before your surgery while at the hospital. There was no sign from you that it was the end of time. We laughed and promised to talk after the surgery, but this was never to happen. It came as a shock, real shock that you were in the ICU and that we needed to pray more. We needed to have more masses for you. We did it sister hoping for the best. Still I don't know what happened, but I leave it to God.
We will miss you sister Glo, but again we can not fail to thank God for all you were to us and to the people of God. I can't imagine what the parish community is going through by your absence among them. I picture you helping prepare for mass and giving communion. I can't imagine what Fr. Michael and Fr. Emmanuel have to say about your demise. You worked so closely and in admiration with them. Yes, a beautiful soul has rested. A true gift to her biological family and our SSND family and everyone who knew her. May all who mourn our dear sister be comforted. May the angels receive your soul and present it to God dear Glo. Rest sister! Rest! God had a reason for calling you Home soon. Forever in our hearts. Pray for us.

I watched you become the wise, committed and dedicated religious woman that you are till the end. We, the Ogah family will miss you so much. You became one of us. Discipleship sent us on separate missions, but we remained connected through phone calls and prayers. You were the one constantly calling to check on me when I lost my mother this January. I didn’t know I would be saying goodbye to you as well. My heart is broken. May the angels welcome you home. Pray for us.

Dear Sister Gloria,
Though I am filled with so much sorrow about your exit from this earthly life; I am also thankful to God for the life you lived and the souls and places you touched while you lived. You were so gracious and elegant that in your gentle yet firm and hardworking religious you communicated to the world about who an ideal religious woman should be. I thank God our paths crossed while we were in school at Veritas and especially in the Sisters apartment on campus. We connected so well that the relationship continued even after we left school.
The last time we saw was during the last annual alumni workshop, we chatted and exchanged pleasantries, little did I know we were never going to see again.
The news about your departure was received with so much pain and confusion and I was just hoping that it should be a mistake but unfortunately it was the fact.
I pray that the lord who called you home should in his mercy grant you eternal life and rest and console all of us who mourn. Go well Sister Gloria and may the angels welcome you home. The plants you assisted to plant at Veritas Unit are growing so well, Fr. My first encounter with Sr. Gloria was through an email introduction. I was looking for a facility to hold a workshop in, in Accra, and thus the introduction mid last year.
I was impressed by her prompt response and over the next few months, we collaborated closely as she helped me navigate all the logistical details that needed to be taken care of. As someone who had never been to Ghana, her help was invaluable and I was struck by her promptness, thoroughness and great integrity.
No request was too big, and she wasn’t fazed by any changes that I requested for even at the very last minute.
So I was delighted to finally meet her in person in January of this year l, and our planning team together with all participants at the Kuibuka workshop came to know and appreciate Gloria even more. Working tirelessly to make sure we were comfortable and still making time to attend the workshop. We were further delighted that the song books we used during Mass had been compiled by her.
I received the news a day before I was planning to get in touch with her about fabric, as the beautiful Ghana fabric she had sourced for some of us has become a hit wherever I go.
Gloria, you walked gently on this earth, making a profound change in your quiet manner and with a smile not far from your lips.
I am blessed to have met you and been ministered to greatly by you. May you know perfect joy in God’s embrace and intercede for us who remain here a while longer.

Dear Sr. Gloria,

I am still in a state of shock, and loss of words. Life in deed is short. You knew your days were short and so you took every opportunity to reach out to humanity. Your welcoming smile was outstanding and your kind heart was your hall mark as well.
I recall you asking if we could have Ghana Area meeting from the 25th to the 28th of April and I said I would not be available. Hmmmm, the date has come and here you are lying motionless, aww Glo, Where are you?

I have had a close experience with you only for a short time. Gloria your support to me as a delegate cannot be overemphasized, I remember, the number of times we had provincial Assembly meetings in the house, you were always up and doing. You took care of the planning and hosting of the delegates.

I had virtually nothing to do all because of your hard work. My sister I wish you were here so that I can express my deepest gratitude to you for all that you have done for me. Your presence in the house was a great relief to me.
It is too hard for me now, I can’t hold my tears back. I believe you are now enjoying your eternal reward. You really have paid your dues well. I am very grateful to God that our paths crossed. I will forever miss you.

Dear S. Gloria
You came into my life at a time when I needed a guiding hand , support and help, you became a dear sister, a friend and not just a friend but a mentor. Your life inspired me and your positive influence will never be in vain. As a mentor you showed me how to befriend God and how to build trust  and hope in Him, and build positive behaviors. I will never forget your words! " Mercy you will be a sister like myself, always do what is right". I have lost a wise sister, great listener, very cheerful sister, someone who is always pushing me not to have doubts or fear even when life seems to be tough. Not to forget the moment I was almost giving up  you stood with me, you always reminding me that " we become stronger and better only when we accept to walk with Christ". You challenged me in so many ways..... I'm mourning you even from a far, l'm so much heartbroken Sr. Gloria....you have gone too soon... Whenever I think of you and how things used to be back in that small house at Nyalieng'a, I wish to turn back time. Thanks for the moment we shared and the good times we had will be unforgettable
Death may have taken you out of sight but nothing can take you out of my heart....... May tears can't bring you back to life but my prayers will release you to reign forever. Go easy, Go well,, Good bye, smile with your creator till we meet again.
May your soul find rest in God's eternal kingdom.

"Guiding Light: A Tribute to the Selfless Journey of Sister Gloria Jacinta Adoga SSND"
In the heart of Kenya's bustling communities, amidst the whispers of young orphans and the vibrant spirit of St. Arnolds Nyalieng’a parish, there existed a guiding light, a beacon of selfless devotion and unwavering faith. Today, we gather to pay tribute to the remarkable life and legacy of a Nigerian religious nun who graced our lives with her presence, leaving an indelible mark on our souls.

With humility as her cloak and firmness as her staff, she navigated the path of service with grace and compassion. In the corridors of the parish and the hearts of the young orphans, she was a pillar of strength, embodying discipline tempered with kindness and generosity that knew no bounds.

Her ever-smiling face, a testament to her inner resilience, shone brightly even in the face of adversity. Through her gentle demeanour and unwavering resolve, she brought solace to the downtrodden and hope to the weary, illuminating the darkest corners with the light of her love.

But her impact extended far beyond the confines of the parish walls. For me, dear friend, you became a guiding star in my journey from adolescence to adulthood. With boundless love and unwavering support, you took me under your wing, offering not only a job but also nurturing my soul and guiding me in the sacred task of discerning my vocation. Thank you so much.

In you, I found not only a mentor but also a friend, a confidante, and a guardian angel who walked beside me through life's trials and triumphs always encouraging me. And as i stand on the threshold of my own calling, poised to follow in your footsteps as a nun, your spirit will continue to guide me, a gentle reminder of the transformative power of love and service.

Today, as we bid farewell to you, our beloved Sister Gloria Jacinta Adoga, let us take comfort in the knowledge that her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and the hearts she inspired. Though she may have left this earthly realm too soon, her spirit will forever dwell in the sacred spaces she helped create, a lasting testament to the power of faith, hope, and love.
