CORE VALUES

September 11, 2018

Born to Christian parents, Susan Ma’Mbei ENO was introduced to Christ early in her life. She received Him as Lord and Savior and was born again. She also received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Very quickly the fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) were clearly visible in the life she lived and to a large extent remained at the basis of her core values. One of the most outstanding of these values was her readiness to forgive always.  She forgave without bearing any grudges! Susan died without a single prisoner in her heart. She was a great peace maker and always avoided strife and conflict. In the face of heated arguments likely to slide into conflict she would readily give in with a gentle smile, even though she may have a point. In the same vein, revenge was never part of her. She always believed that vengeance is the Lord’s (Deuteronomy 32:35.) As a young girl, Susan decided to dedicate her life to Christ. She believed that having repented of her sins and received baptism and the Holy Spirit, her God will save her. She held onto the word of scripture that, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62). In good times or in bad times her hand was on the plow to the last day. On that fateful day of the 29th of August when it pleased God to call her home she spent the entire morning in prayer, worship and praise until 1:30 pm and then a few seconds after  she was gone.Susan’s short life on earth will serve as inspiration to us all on how a believer should live a life that is pleasing to God.

A Daughter, Sister, Friend and Partner

A purpose driven life: Biography of Susan Ma’Mbei Eno.

Susan Ma’Mbei Eno was born on April 29TH1987 in Douala, Republic of Cameroon, to Emmanuel ENO MBEI and Lydia Banyi ENO.

She attended nursery and primary School at the PNEU school, Douala and eventually at St. Louis Catholic school Douala and St. Mary’s Catholic school Tiko. From her early age she stood out as a brilliant and friendly little girl who attracted many friends and whose leadership qualities had began to emerge.

In September 1998 she was admitted into Saker Baptist College in Limbe, where she pursued her secondary education. In secondary school she did not only excel academically but equally distinguished herself as a young Christian leader who impacted the lives of many for Christ. Her commitment to Christian values led her to be appointed as the religious prefect of the school. She graduated in 2005.

Two years later she travelled to the US to pursue further studies and eventually obtained a Bachelors of Science degree. She was preparing to undertake graduate studies in Pharmacy when she took seriously ill.

However, Ma’Mbei always made it clear that her ultimate goal was to become a full time minister of God and that all her educational or professional achievements will merely serve as a spring board towards the attainment of this goal. She always spent all her time on her school, her work and on making disciples. She had little time left for the worldly attractions of most people.

Ma’Mbei made disciples wherever she went to and worked hard to keep them steadfast in the Lord. In Mountain of Fire (MFM) Ministries in Baltimore where she and her mother worshipped upon her arrival in the US, she immediately joined the children and youth department of the church and played a pivotal role in impacting the lives of scores of young boys and girls for Christ.

From 2015 to 2016 she spent some time in Buffalo-New York and while there, she helped to strengthen the youth and children department of the Redeemed church where she worshipped and equally launched a prayer and bible study cell which influenced many.

In 2017 she travelled to Weatherford, Oklahoma, where she launched yet another prayer and bible study cell called SAVED. Some members of that cell are here today to pay her a final tribute and acknowledge her contribution to their spiritual growth.

Ma’Mbei’s exemplary life, though short, will certainly remain a source of inspiration to her parents, her siblings, her extended family as well as her many friends and disciples.
