One year ago today, you decided to leave the physical body and continue on the highland journey home. We remember, we look back with thanks for a well-lived life, we try to act as though there is no gap, we continue in the direction you would have approved were you here. When the time is right, we look forward to your return. In God's time, in God's way!

I received with heavy hearts the sudden death of our beloved Copy Sales Manager Pastor Sylvia Esajere (Mrs.).Our consolation however, is that you live a good life and left behind a good legacy. As Christians, we accept the fact that DEATH is a necessary end to all mortals for a transition to eternity.
My condolences to her Husband, Children and the entire family of The Sun Publishing Limited.

It came to me as a shock, the news of your demise pains, remembering how you served God with vigour, especially your ministeration in the AGPC choir only gives me one assurance. You are with the LORD. Rest on my dear Sister.

Pastor Sylvia, I can say of you like Apostle Paul, that you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race and have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for you the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to you on that Day, and not to you only but also to all who have loved His appearing... Adieu daughter of Zion.

Her Life

My sister, Pastor Sylvia Ekwutosilam Esajere (nee Egbu) passes on.

May 12, 2021
The Egbu Dynasty, headed by Chief Raff Egbu, has lost a daughter and gem. With her transition, we have lost a significant part of ourselves. Her intelligence, empathetic interventions, economic emancipation push, drive for family upliftment, peacemaking interjections, implanting of Christ-like virtues will be no more.
We are truly devastated by her sudden transition to heaven. As a great family whose foundation is in Christ, we know there is Grace that make Saints stay above discouragement. May that Grace be released to me, to all immediate & extended family members, her husband, Akpo Esajere and nuclear family, her church beginning from our Lordship, the Bishop, colleagues at work, Umuiku and Ole communities in Abia and Delta state respectively, and friends across the world in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen. The burial date would be announced in due course. Thank you.

Just Like Yesterday

A sister is the completion of your childhood. She may not be here anymore, but you’ll still be together for life. Losing my sister felt like losing my keys again. Although I could easily find them, I’ll have to look harder to find her.

I shared the most memorable years of my life with my sister. They won’t be a more remarkable moment than the time spent with her.

There’s something about losing a sister that’s inexpressible and permanent. It’s a wound that’ll never heal.

You were fiercer than the wind, hotter than the sun. You are deeper than the ocean. You are simply the best. Those near and far loved you. Now only memories of you exist. I fear they may fade away, but I still hold on to my sister’s. Memories may fade with time, but you remain a part of me.
