Thomas Michael Lipski, Sr. passed away peacefully at home on 4/4/22, from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. He was 88.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1933 to Walter and Loretta (née Jaszczak) Lipski, Tom was raised in northeast Philadelphia with siblings Stanley, Walter, Edward, and Andrea as well as many beloved cousins.

Tom served in the Air Force from 1953-57 during the Korean War, stationed on a remote mountaintop in Formosa (Taiwan). Adventure found him everywhere he went.

In 1959 he married Ann Cecelia McGurk of Maple Shade, NJ and the adventures continued.  They settled in Willingboro, NJ where they raised their four children Rita, Cheryl, Tom and Julie until moving to Medford, NJ to live among the pine trees he loved so much.

Tom enjoyed the comforts of suburban life. He loved to sail, water ski, play tennis, picnic, party and laugh. Most content surrounded by family and friends, he looked forward to summertime fun at LBI and Forked River. For many years he was an active member of the Elks Lodges of Mount Holly and Willingboro (which he helped to establish.)

Tom showed his versatility and drive in whatever job or venture he embraced. His penchant for finding a good deal served him well in his sales career as well as when developing a jobs-to-work training program to help others.

Tom was predeceased by his parents; wife Ann; brothers Stanley and Ed; sisters-in-law Rita Haring, Wanda Lipski and Sharon Lipski; cousin Henry Jackowicz and many other friends and family. He is survived by his children, Rita Schenk (Gene Muller), Cheryl Gary (Bob), Tom Lipski (Donna), Julie Dixon and Rhea Doughty; his grandchildren whom he loved and cherished, Lauren Williams, Christopher, Andrew, Jimmy and John Lipski, Alexis Hutson, John and Bailey Dixon, and Kim Nandakumar (Shankar); and his siblings Walter and Andrea Lipski; his cousins Sylvester Cienkowski, Cathy Gross and Cynthia Zengolewicz; and brothers-in-law Michael McGurk and Skip Haring.

Lovingly remembered by his family and friends, Tom’s smile, laughter, love of life, encouraging words and hugs (best ever) will be sorely missed.

A funeral mass will be held June 17, 10:15 am at St. John Neumann Church in Mt. Laurel, with a luncheon following. Burial will be on June 18, at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hainesport.

Please share your memories, as Tom will be missed greatly.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the hospice of your choice or Parkinson’s Foundation.

I don't even know where to begin other than sometimes peoples lives cross for a reason, a purpose! In the past 6 years, Tom and I have shared many laughs and tears, ups and downs as we journeyed through his parkinsons together! I will definitely miss his warm smiles, stories, keen sense of wit and of course, hugs! Tom was a one of a kind and will be missed by many! My condolences
