I was deeply shocked to learn of Towera's passing. We became great friends during our course at the University of Queensland, and I will forever remember her hearty laugh, the warm smile, our conversations as we walked to and from campus, as we sweated over our assignments, as we relaxed over a drink down at the Pig 'N' Whistle in Indooroopilly and at the Casino. My deepest condolences to her family and friends for their great loss. Towa, it seems our re-union is not to be but I will always remember you. Lala salama, dada.

My heart breaks for your family and friends Towera. I will always remember you for your beautiful smile, for showing me how to be patient and for teaching me that listening can be more powerful than speaking.

Such a short life for a lovely person. Towera was an inspiration to her fellow water management students and encouraged me in particular to think about the work needed in Africa. She will be missed by all and my thoughts go to her closest family and friends. xx

My deepest condolences to the family of Towera, what a beautiful soul she was, so warm hearted and always smiling. It was a great shock to hear of her passing and I wish that I had gotten to know her much better during our time in the MIWM in Australia and wish we had kept in touch more after. May she rest in peace and may the family heal from this loss.
