I'm so sorry to learn of Vera's death. We worked together at Murdoch Center. before she moved to the Post Office. She was such a smart, capable, conscientious person who was also a lot of fun to work with. No one can say she was a quitter.

“THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD I SHALL NOT WANT”. Vera once told me that PSALM 23 was one of her favorite scriptures. I pray that knowing she is with the Shepherd of her soul will bring comfort to her family. It is surely helping me! The Butner Post Office will NEVER be the same! She was my “WORK MOM.” We shared laughter, we shared tears, we poured our hearts out to each other, WE CARRIED MAIL TOGETHER! MY ANGEL IS AT REST

Richard, Joe, Kelly and Joan, I worked with Vera at Murdoch many years ago. She was always hard-working, loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. She always talked of her family and how proud she was of each of you. May God carry each of you in His hands. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Gone, BUT Not Forgotten

October 16, 2018

To Ricchard, Joe, Kelly, and Joan:

Thank you so much for calling me and letting me know of my dear sweet Vera's passing.  I am so sorry for your loss.   I worked with Vera at Murdoch for many years.  We shared the same office in the Annex Building  and became instant friends.  I  have such wonderful memories of our times together.  She was so  warm hearted, loving, and beautiful person.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and made life "easy and simple when you were around her.  I really missed her when she left Murdoch, but, we had a friendship that lasted for years.  Even after she left Murdoch, we always shared cards and letters at Birthdays and Christmas!!  I will still miss her now as I am sure you all will too. I will think of her as an Angel now.  Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.  God Bless each of you.
