Wendi Settle unexpectedly returned to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 24, 2020.

Wendi was born to Carol Graeff on March 29, 1963, and grew up in Elizabeth, CO. She graduated from Elizabeth High School and later married her high school sweetheart, Steve Settle, in 1982. They created a home there and had two children, Barb and Joe.

Wendi worked at a dental office in Parker and was loved by all of her clients and entire community. She will always be remembered as a loving ear to talk to and friend to confide in. Wendi was a very spiritual person and enjoyed rejoicing in the Lord with friends and family. She also loved spending time painting and gardening, but most of all as Grammy to her entire family: Joe and granddaughter Bailey, Barb & Mike and grandchildren Jackson, Jace and Vivienne.

Wendi is survived by her mother Carol Graeff; husband Steve Settle; children Barb & Mike Lawson and Joe Settle; grandchildren Jackson, Jace, Bailey and Vivienne. Wendi is also survived by her siblings, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and countless friends.

There will be no services held at this time. The family looks forward to reading your tributes and stories on this page and would appreciate private time to grieve.

“Restless heart” as someone else so perfectly described it. A void in the heart that was only filled by her.. and there is no replacing that part. Its just a void now.

  I miss you Mama

Dear Wendi
It has taken me a while but now I think I can do this. You are my best friend and like a sister but I know many others consider you the same way. I want to tell you that it has been difficult moving forward without your smile, positive energy and unyielding loyalty. You have shown me a path I will try to continue on. To be the best person I can be to myself, my family and everyone I interact with. I still get choked up just writing this or thinking about you but I want you to know that you are always in our thoughts and our memories.

It has been several years since we lived in Elizabeth, but Wendy is remembered as a sweet, bubbly, joyous friend and mom. Our kids were all friends at school and youth group, but in addition, Wendy was just fun to be with (as is her mom Carol). She was a devoted wife and mom from all I knew, and I do remember walking around the garden with her and learning a lot. We are so sorry to hear of her loss to all. Our love to you from the Cupkas in VA, Darien, Robin, and Mark.

All of these tributes I’ve read about Wendi are so true. I received my letter about her passing yesterday and was deeply saddened. My kids and I have been going to Mountain Dental for many years. Wendi was always very friendly and caring and had a huge smile. She knew not only me, but my 3 kids by name as well. They had all grown up around Wendi.
We are extremely sorry and are sending love and light to her family and friends.

Such unbelievably sad news. Our family have been patients of Mountain Dental almost since the beginning and I have spent quite a bit of time in the office over the past year. I was in not that long ago and was surprised that Wendi was not at her usual post and offering her customary greeting. I just assumed it was due to some COVID-related schedule variation. The card arrived today from Mountain Dental and brought tears to my eyes.  My heart hurts so very much for her family and close friends, but also for her work family and the patients she greeted every day.  Wendi had the most wonderfully infectious smile, which she shared with everyone who walked through the door. The entire staff at Dr Bravo’s office is great, but it will not be the same walking in for appointments. My most heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. I have no doubt her light will be missed by so many.

I am so sad to hear of Wendi's sudden passing. I've been a patient at Mountain Dental since we moved to CO 15 years ago and met Wendi there. She was a wonderful person! I loved going to the dentist just to get the chance to talk to Wendi! Wendi's daughter and I were pregnant at the same time, and were seen at the same OBGyn practice! Something Wendi and I would reminisce about and laugh about because I am only 4 years younger than Wendi! I will truly miss her smiling face greeting me (and my kiddos) when we go in for our appointments. My thoughts and prayers are with Wendi's family. May God comfort you during this difficult time.

I am so saddened by the news of Wendi's passing. She was always a bright light at the dental office. From day 1, 15 years ago she knew our names and faces. She always asked how everyone was doing and really showed an interest in everyone as a person. I enjoyed visiting with her and will miss her smile and friendly face. Sending love peace to her family.

A sad day to learn of Wendi passing away. As a patient from Mountain Dental for the past 10 years, we shared many laughs every six months. You meet many people in life, but how many will you remember? I will remember her.

A beloved friend who brought Joy and encouragement to our hearts and souls. Wendi naturally bestowed smiles and hugs, with her genuine Love and concern for others. She Loves the Lord and let it be known in conversation by expressing faith and hope in Him, praying for others and her willingness to share her life experiences to comfort, encourage and assist others who are facing similar issues in life's journey. Wendi was always up for an adventure and ready to include others to share in the fun. We are grateful that she is apart of our lives. We pray our Lord will be ever present with the entire family. With sincere Love Debbie & Mike.

A genuine smile, a sincere hug, a warm greeting; that is Wendi! We should mourn deeply, we should cry freely, our hearts are breaking: we have lost a bright light in our lives. We have lost. Wendi has won!! Long ago she accepted the promise of our Lord. She is home! She is in the BEST place. No more tears, no more pain! All of heaven is rejoicing as they welcome a new Saint. Praise the Lord. My heart is breaking for the family. May God grant them the peace of understanding and comfort.

Wendi was full of life. She was radiant. Loved her husband and family especially those grand babies. She was always a delight and talked me into using the dental team she worked for!! ( She needed more patients!) I’ve have done personal business with her and Steve... just wonderful to work for. They both have a deep faith and love of the Lord. I pray for God’s Peace be upon Steve, their Daughter and Son In Law & Son and All the rest of the family during this difficult time.... Hugs, Kelly

I was deeply saddened by the news of the passing of this beautiful soul. Wendi and I grew up and went to school all the way from Kindergarten thru 12th grade. Although I haven’t seen her since our last class reunion I know that she was the same good, kind and gentle person every time we reconnected and that she left this life with those same loving qualities. I pray peace and love to cover Steve and all the family as you take each day, one by one to grieve and mourn. God Bless you each one.

My friend

May 28, 2020
To the family of Wendy,
I want to share what a amazing friendship I had with this beautiful woman. We both worked for the same company. Different offices. Me in NM and her in Co. We started and sometimes ended our days together. We laughed, we shared our daily frustrations. But most of all we connected as friends. She was such a inspiration.
I feel lost without her. Such a special lady. I am quite sure that anyone who got to know her loved her.
I am so sorry for your loss.
I feel blessed to have known her.  RIP my friend
