Memory
One of the cutest memories of Aarav which we have remembered million times everytime we got together :
One day you were at our home and I asked you what would you want to eat? You asked for options – and I gave you a few options and you being a fussy eater, you kept on saying ‘No’ to every option I gave you. Finally after a few attempts, I said I think Aarav wants ‘Chittar’ ( Punjabi word for a little love slap on kids), and being always curious about new things, you ran to the kitchen and stood in front of Fridge thinking this is something new and you wanted to try that. And we couldn’t stop laughing but you constantly asked to have ‘Chittar’ without knowing what it meant! Till today every time I think of that day, your face just comes in front of my eyes and brings a smile on my face!
Love you always - Chachi
A one in a million child
Aarav was exceptional. He lived an extraordinary life, suffered from the rarest of rare diseases, faced the disease with exceptional bravery and eventually embraced death as if it was just a simple step to eternal peace.
During his short life of about 8 years, Aarav spread sheer joy all around him and gave unquestioned love to his entire extended family. His eyes twinkled and his voice was laden with affection whenever he saw us or spoke with us on the phone, and said “Badé maamu and Badé maami”. It was hard to say goodbye to him as he would always ask ever so sweetly “Why can’t we all stay together?”.
Aarav was extraordinarily intelligent. He was always inquisitive and would say why so many times that we used to often playfully ask him “Will you ever move from Y to Z?” and he would answer ever so sweetly “Why?”. He was interested in subtle differences between words that often many adults don't worry about. He always surprised us with brilliant explanations and his sharp memory. And the most amazing thing about him was the fact that he never complained – even when he must be suffering, a lot.
We miss our morning, afternoon and evening hugs that he would give whenever we were together, and will always miss them. We will miss our walks and holidays together. We will miss watching the TV shows and movies together.
Dear Aarav, our little baby and monsieur, we miss you but you live forever in our memories……..

During the summer when the sun was just starting to set, Isaac smiled and said the sky reminded him of Aarav. I asked why, he said "because when Aarav zooms on his bike down the red path he leaves all the dust behind him it's so awesome, that's what the sky looks like." This was the path
