Grandma, today will be the first day in many many years that I have not called or be with you to wish you a Happy Birthday. I am still missing you more than I could imagine. I know you're in a better place as I have seen you many times in my dreams. Continue to rest in perfect peace, my dearest grandma

Farewell Aunty Abigail

April 12, 2021
It was with great sadness that I learned of my dearest Auntie Abigail’s passing.

Auntie and I have been friends since we met at Furzedown Primary Care Centre where I work and where she was a patient. We also attended the same church which cemented the relationship.
We spent many hours at her home in London talking, laughing, singing and praying. Auntie always imparted many words of advice, encouragement and wisdom and never judged.  She was kind, generous, caring, considerate and genuine in her love. When Auntie Abigail loved you, you knew you were truly loved.
When I had my first grandchild, a boy, 3 years ago, she gave him a Nigerian name: Ore Oluwua - (Precious Gift) and predicted another was close behind and so it was. A girl soon appeared. When I told her, though she was unwell at the time, she leapt up and sang and danced with joy! That was Auntie Abigail.
There are many stories I could share about her but they would take a long time to relate.
Auntie Abigail was a devout Christian and led a life that reflected this.  I know she is now at peace in the arms of the Lord, praying, singing and dancing for joy.
Farewell Auntie Abigail. Rest in peace.  I will always miss you.
Love and condolences to all the family.
