So many memories with my aunt Adalene. My childhood is full of them. Not as many as I would have liked in my adult years, but still good memories.
I loved visiting her at the cute little apartment in Fairborn. You were so tickled that I came!! I'm so glad I did... We enjoyed some Cassanos pizza and just chatted and enjoyed each other's company.

I'm going to miss you, my sweet aunt. Until we meet again, I love you forever! Rest in peace.

I don't even know how to start. I love you. I'll miss you like crazy. You were such an incredible Mom. You were definitely one of a kind and very unique.

You were so selfless. You sacrificed so much without hesitating or complaining. I was oblivious as a child and teenager just how much you sacrificed.

I hope to be a sliver of the type of woman and mother you were.

Thank you Mommy. I love you

Concerned mother.

I remember in 1982 when I was in Beirut, Lebanon while in the Marine Corps. We were there for a peace keeping mission. I decided not to let mom know I was there. I did not want her to worry about my being in a war torn area. I guess that was the wrong thing to do. She called and gave hell to a lot of people who were in administrative roles in the Corps. She must have gotten hold of the right people, because my platoon commander came to me and said if I didn't write my mother and let her know where I was I would be in deep trouble. That goes to show that a concerned mother can get the Marine Corps brass to bend to her will. I love you mom.
