Tribute to Adetayo Afolabi Olaitan Odusola

Mebude Mosunmola :
The passing away of an icon, Adetayo Olaitan. You were loved by all, okunrin meta, jagun jagun. You fought till your last breath which tells just how strong you were. Our mother adored you. We didn't see it coming, it came as a big shock.
Tayo, so soft spoken, amiable, full of life and a cheerful giver. My dear brother, very fashionable to the core.
May the Lord give us the fortitude to bear this loss and may He console the family you left behind. Adetayo, we miss you but God giveth and He taketh. May you rest in the bosom of the Lord. ADIEU ADETAYO.

Gbenga Odusola :
When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll is called up yonder I?ll be there
On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the glory of His resurrection share
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies,
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there
Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun,
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care
Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there
To a true soldier n warrior,
Adetayo Afolabi Olaitan Odusola, my blood, I will forever miss u, but i know some day we will meet to part no more. Until then, soldier on true warrior. The gates of heaven will open up for you and you will sleep well in the bosom of your Creator.
Goodbye blood, Adios.

Ola-oti Odusola :
TOYOOOTA, as I fondly called you. You went so suddenly without saying good bye. You had no time to do all you could have done. We celebrate your life. Okunrin meta. Okunrin ogun. Arin bi ologun, a wole bi general.
You were fearless, yet meek. Tough yet soft spoken. A power dresser and a lover of good food. Adetayo had a big heart. He was compassionate. He had great love for his family. He was full of life. I wish you sweet sleep, Adetayo
Sun re o..

Adebola Odusola :
My dearly loved brother. You were truly amazing in every way. The fond memories of our childhood together will keep me going. I only wish I spoke to you more and saw you more. I love you and will forever miss you. To live in the hearts of those we love is never to die. God loves you more. Sun re o....
Uchenna Odusola :
The joy of the Lord will be our strength at this very difficult time. Our hearts will heal and peace will be restored. God will see us through.
Tayo was taken far too soon. He will remain forever young in the hearts and minds of those who loved, respected and looked up to him. He was a people's man, kind, warm and a lover of life.
Only God knows in matters of life and death. Let us not question his omniscience but rejoice that we were blessed to have known and loved Tayo at all.
I pray for strength for us all. I pray especially for our mother who by His grace ushered Tayo into the world to begin his wonderful life.
Let’s all take from Tayo's example and live our best lives.
He is with the Lord now, at perfect peace, forever watching over those he loved, home and away.
Rest in perfect peace brother.

Tribute to Adetayo Afolabi Olaitan Odusola

Morola Yusuf :
Adetayo, Afolabi, Olaitan, Omo Odusola, Okunrin meta, Akoni okunrin. As strong as you were, you could barely utter words out of your mouth (a very quiet and softly spoken man) and even when you did, it was either so funny or it left one wondering where such wisdom came from. Our Father unusually gave him three names; Adetayo, Afolabi, Olaitan because he was so loved. Dad used to call you “Mercedes”. Adetayo, you lived life to the fullest, the way only you knew how to. Only the best was good enough for you and you were a giver, you would give your all and could careless.                                  You were different in your own kind of way. Only your fond memories would remain in our hearts. We fought seriously to keep you here but God knows you are better with HIM. I Corinthians 5:5 - Deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus". I have never thought of questioning God, not even for a minute because HE alone knows best and all things work together for good for those that love God. Stay in love to stay in line. We love you Adetayo Afolabi Olaitan but God loves you much more. Sleep on Adetayo Afolabi Olaitan Odusola

Lekan Yusuf :
Toyo, as I fondly call you.  It's so difficult to write about you in the past tense. But who are we to query the Almighty God. I remember fondly that smile that is peculiar to only you. Everyone speaks of your generosity, but I speak of your meekness behind the tough facade. You have indeed become like a blood brother over the years rather than an in-law, and we had a special way of connecting. I was your go to guy for so many things that you needed to fix. We indeed had our moments, and I miss you terribly already. And it seems to me you lived your life like a candle in the wind. Your candle burned out long before your legend ever did. Tears well in my eyes right now, and I will stop here, but I will keep memories of our times together with me till the day we meet to part no more. Fare thee well My dear brother TOYO!

Dapo Mebude :
My uncle,
Baba Oja has slipped away.
It is unfair, it is not right.
The worst is he remains so happy, blissful, even though it's the end
I will miss you so much .
Words have failed me today, I cant believe I am writing this so soon .
I will remember,
Your bravery and your love
That caring, funny, wise and watchful eye,
which now peers at us from above.
One thing I learnt from you is to be proud of who we are
Stand up with all our might.
Baba Oja
Originality still
Fabulous King
You will forever live in our heart
Rest on uncle Adetayo Afolabi Olaitan Odusola .
I will miss you forever.

Annabelle Odusola :
Uncle Tayo was my cool uncle (too cool for school), soft spoken and always very generous. That’s who i knew him to be. He was loved by so many and he will be missed immensely

Kayode Odusola :
To my lovely uncle, who God made him just more than an uncle, with your selfless spirit, loyalty, honesty and generosity.
I can't seem to find the right adjectives or verbs to describe you.
You were like father to me, provided for me whenever I needed you to, and the way you always found a way to make an ordinary daily situation become a source of emotional upliftment, the way you were created can't be understood because you were definitely one of a kind.
I pray God rewards your good deeds and forgives you for anything you might have done knowingly or unknowingly.
You deserve to be with the heavenly bodies and your memories will forever exist in my heart.
Positive vibes
Originality still
Fabulous King
Rest on uncle Adetayo Afolabi Olaitan Odusola
I will miss you forever.

Omoyeni Mebude :
Uncle Tayo, God created you perfect in His sight. You were the definition of His love and joy. I only ask God for one thing which is to overshadow you with His mercy. Rest in Peace because your Maker finds you wonderful in all things. We love you so dearly

Naomi Odusola :
Dear uncle Tee,
Today would have been like any other day except that it’s not, as everyone who loves you so dear is trying to stay strong and cope with the fact that you’re no longer with us. Although, it’s seemingly uneasy to write a lot as you were a man of very few words but if there’s anything I would like to be remembered, it’s the ability you had to make everyone laugh (with  the memory of each joke, even funnier than the first time we heard it). We’re all going to miss you but the One who is the author of life makes everything perfect in its time and season.
Rest in perfect peace uncle, we love you so much.

Taye Mebude :
Uncle Tayo, although your passing is one that is hard to bear, at this time, I don’t want to dwell on that sadness, rather, I’d like to think of the fact that you’re in a better place now, resting with our Father. We love you and we miss you. I’ll cherish all the gifts you gave me. One love Uncle. Rest well in paradise.

Kehinde Mebude :
My dear uncle, I know we shared a few words together but I saw a lot  from it and through my observation you were a kind hearted man and you were very generous. No one saw this coming but regardless, i pray that your soul rest in peace and may you enter the kingdom of God in Jesus' name. AMEN

Zoe Odusola :
Dear uncle T,
Oh Wow! I never in My deepest thoughts, imagined that I would be writing this so early. My dearie, my main man, we had so much in common so it was so easy for us to quickly bond. Uncle, I  miss you now, I missed you yesterday and I will miss you forever. You were more than an uncle to me but you were also my G. You cared for me so much and it's so sad that I have to say my goodbyes this early to you but God knows best as He's the author and finisher of our faiths. The only prayer I have for you is that you find eternal rest in the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.
I love you so much and it breaks my heart losing  you like this.
You will forever be in my heart uncle a.k.a OJA1.

Message and prayer from sister Toun

Doc.

Thinking about you my darling aburo. How are you?. I am still deeply saddened by our loss. Loosing a loved one is nothing easy, but I want you to know that after the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold on to are the happy memories that we've shared with Tayo, this is what will keep him alive in our hearts and minds as he continues to live on through us. The heavens have gained an angel to watch over us. May his soul rest in peace, in Jesus mighty name

Life is truly a journey. Sleep on Beloved. God will comfort and strengthen all you left behind.

Death Is Nothing At All.

September 6, 2018

Death is nothing at all.

I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before only better, infinitely happier and forever we will all be one together with Christ.
