TRIBUTE TO MY MOTHER-IN-LOVE.
A Mother who lived and loved…
Mum, I am still at a loss as to how to pen down a tribute in your memory; I have never been as broken as I have been since you passed.
Mum, you touched and molded lives positively through your selfless show of love and humility. You showed me how much more I have to be to continue in your footsteps. “Mimi” as you would always call me; the love you showed me is and will always be unprecedented.
A virtuous woman per excellence, you would always stand by the truth. You were a Mother that would always bear the burdens of others on her shoulders. Your shoulders were always there, for succor, when I needed them the most. There are special people in our lives that never leave us even after they are gone; you fit perfectly into that picture.
Mum did exceptionally well in most aspects of life. She was very savvy, from academics to life skills. Mum would not rest until she was done with school homework with her grandchildren especially during exams. Mum you grilled your grandchildren in catholic doctrine and I am grateful for that. Mum, I could go on and on but it’s a struggle to write all I feel in so little space. Thank you, from the depth of my heart, for the love and support you gave me through this past 20 years.
I will hold unto our beautiful memories. I will cherish with special fondness the last memories we made together on your birthday in November and my birthday in December, which was just a week before you passed on. We will carry on the legacy of enormous value you bequeathed upon us.
I believe that the angels have led you to the presence of the Most High God. I will continue to pray, as you always ask us to, until we meet again.
Adieu Mum-in-love.Ka chi foo “Nne-di-ebube”

A TRIBUTE TO OUR BELOVED GRANDMOTHER

The love of a grandmother is a unique and beautiful feeling we will never get to feel again, but will always remember that feeling you gave us.

We hide our tears when we say your name, but the pain in our heart is still the same. Although we smile and seem care free, that’s how you always wanted us to be and we know that will never change even at death.

There is no one that misses you more than we do!

You may have passed on, but your memories would always live on within us. Thank you for your tremendous sacrifices, your unrelenting care and Grandmotherly concern, your love and everything you have done for us. We will be forever grateful and thankful that you are our “grandmother”

Rest in Peace Grandmother. We will never forget you and we will always love you forever.

From your beloved Grandchildren
Ikemezue, Chimbuzo, Ubajide and Ogelue Otiji

A Tribute to Our Magnificent Mother
“Mum love”, writing this tribute and knowing that you are gone, is the most difficult thing, ever. No words can begin to express the sorrow or sense of loss that I feel. You nurtured and stood by me, giving, always giving and never expecting anything in return. You gave me so much comfort, it is impossible to express how much, and always when I needed it most.
You showed me the power of prayer and the virtues of selflessness, forgiveness and patience. You made me realize that in order to be at peace, I must love my neighbors as I love myself. You were a beacon of hope for me, for all your children, grandchildren and indeed for everyone you met. You loved us all in ways that are not reproducible.
You made your mark on this Earth; you touched a lot of lives and made them better. Soft spoken, your words and teachings were like listening to beautiful poetry and everything you did was executed with grace and competence. A lot of lives are better today because you existed.
Your belief in the almighty God was consummate; your devotion to your husband, your children and grandchildren, relatives and friends was special. I believe you are in Heaven looking down at us, loving us still. You will always be loved and will forever live in our hearts. We miss you immensely. We shall cherish the wonderful memories that we made with you.
Although our hearts may be broken, we will keep going and reflect all that you have inspired within us. We will continuously go all-out to be better in our lives and in our faith, just like you taught us. We shall immortalize you in our words, in our deeds and in our hearts.
We thank God for your life and for granting us the opportunity to have experienced your pure love.
Rest in peace, my beautiful Mother.
Your eternally devoted Son,

Mummy!!!!
Words fail me still but, I am determined to pay tribute to a woman I call my second mother. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. I will never forget the things you said to me that helped me when I was having a rough time grieving the loss of my mum. You were so full of love for everyone! Classy! Elegant! Kind! Selfless! Your type is very rare. A Queen in every sense of the word.
You treated me like your own daughter. Always full of wisdom. You always made me laugh whenever we talked. You left a huge impression on me that will never go away.
May your beautiful soul rest in perfect peace.
May God comfort and strengthen your entire family.
I miss you!

A TRIBUTE TO AN AMAZING MOTHER AND QUEEN -
Her Royal Highness Nono Agnes Akanenechi Otiji nee Anekwe
“Osodieme” “NNEDIEBUBE”

“My mother’s life can be likened to a Comet that comes once in several generations and to Gravity always around us - constantly working to keep her family, friends, community, and environs together and successful, with love, incredible intelligence, Unshakeable faith in God, dependable disposition, great compassion and organizational capacity and her uncanny ability to bring peace, forgiveness and happiness to people.”

Nono, I have tried several times to describe your life and remarkable legacy in this write-up without success and have concluded that only a book will do justice to the exemplary and humane way you lived and the level of success you achieved in life. Very few people can make the extraordinary sacrifices you made and live the admirable life you lived, bring a smile to the faces of so many people and enjoy the love you had from so many. Your life is a remarkable story for the ages and your legacy has indeed been cemented in time’s endless journey.

You were a dutiful and loving wife who supported and encouraged your husband and family in every way possible. You were a devoted Queen, grandmother, mother, sister, aunt, godmother, and mentor to many. You were an inspirational soul who welcomed everybody and made them feel important. You always had kind words and sound advice for anyone who came to you with their problems and always sought to render any help you could. You were Loving, Humble, Compassionate, Understanding and family orientated, and one of the most beautiful, gracious, and God-fearing souls one could ever meet. You were a remarkably happy and confident person and exuded an incredible aura of peace and inner contentment that attracted people and made them find harmony when they were with you. You genuinely loved your friends, the Otiji family, Anekwe family, your people from Aguobu Umumba, and Eke, the good people of Enugu State and Nigeria in totality and continued to make sacrifices till the very end.

Your loss is the single most devastating event that has ever happened to me. Words can never capture the true depth of the pain of your loss. One moment you were there in all your glory, and as always full of love, wisdom, kindness, and empathy and the next moment you were gone, called by God in the same way that you lived your life - peacefully and always striving to put a smile on everyone’s face. God took you home and made sure that you did not suffer. For that, we are eternally grateful, though my heart is broken because I cannot understand why someone so good and precious to so many people had to die so soon. But God knows best and has called you to rest. I know my concerns are personal as I know that you are in heaven, but I can only hope that time will begin to reduce the terrible pain and the depth of emptiness and sadness in our hearts.

You gave me so much and loved me unconditionally. Always there to defend, advise, comfort, and support me. I learned so much from you and those lessons continue to guide and influence who I am today. It is impossible to describe how important you were to me and what a formidable influence you continue to be in my life. I will continue to savour and cherish every memory of you forever.

Mummy, you are very loved and admired all over. You are still and will always be with us. I need only look at the faces of all the people whose lives you have touched to see you and we will continue to celebrate, love, and thank you forever.

May your very gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Adieu omalicha mummy mu until we meet to part no more.

Your loving son,
Ozumba Augustine Otiji

A TRIBUTE TO TO MY DARLING MOTHER - Her Royal Highness Nono Agnes Akanenechi Otiji (Nee Anekwe)] "NNE-Di-EBUBE"

There is nothing purer than a mother's love. We have been blessed with that love from the moment we were born until December 24, 2020 when our mother, Agnes Akanenechi Otiji (Nee Anekwe), transitioned to heaven. My mother was the exemplification of motherly love. No mother has given herself more completely than she. She gave birth to seven (7) children, but was mother to everyone that crossed her path. She made each of her children feel like an only child, due to her extraordinary ability to make you feel very special.

Agnes was beautiful, extremely intelligent, determined, organized, loving, warm, wise, brave, caring and supportive. She devoted her life to God, her husband, her children (and grandchildren), her siblings (and their children), her in-laws, her friends, her church, her community and all of mankind. Agnes was a peacemaker, an educator and a problem-solver. She was beloved by her family, friends and acquaintances.

Our family has lost its most precious angel. The pain from your loss is indescribable and the very fabric of our existence has changed forever. Although our grief and sense of loss have been unbearable, we know that our mother will forever be in our hearts and minds. We know that she is sitting in heaven now smiling down on us and guiding our thoughts and actions.

My darling mother, “Nne Di Ebube”, We will miss you forever and cherish every second we got to spend with you. Your light and memory will never fade, and I will forever remember and honor you.

We love you with all our hearts!

Your Eternally Loving Son,

Ihekweaba Felix Otiji (“Baz”)

(On behalf: of Adora Nneka Otiji (daughter in-law), Ndidi Amaka Simone Otiji (Granddaughter) and Nkem Isabella Otiji (granddaughter)
