In 1967 when I walked into my 4th grade class on the first day of school and saw my new teacher for the first time, I knew right away that it was going to be an interesting year. I was greeted by a tall man with a deep voice and a big smile, his name was Mr. Guy. When I think back to that year, it brings back so many good memories. Mr. Guy was eager to teach and he made sure we learned and understood what a 4th grader should know. It was a year of singing, dancing, and exploring. He taught us to square dance and sing "Yellow Rose of Texas". When asked we would perform on the spot. He loved taking us on field trips and we explored the Los Angeles area as often as possible. Thank you, Mr. Guy for making my 4th grade a memorable one. I hope your family finds peace and love during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
