September 19, 1948 - August 9, 2020
Alexander Jaworski, age 71, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 9th, 2020, at the Concord Health and Rehabilitation in Lakewood, New Jersey. Alex fought a brave battle against Multiple Sclerosis for 33 years, and several other medical complications from his time served in the Vietnam War.

Alex was drafted immediately after graduating Passaic High School to the United States Army, at the young age of 19 years old. He served as a Combat Sergeant in the Vietnam War from 1968-1969. Alex was wounded in the war on the 27th of December 1968 as a result of a hostile mortar attack on his platoon. He received a Purple Heart for his heroic actions in combat and was honorably discharged on the 17th of December 1969.

Alex leaves joyful memories to his beloved wife, Rosita, of 40 years, his three wonderful children; Kimberly, Andrew, and Alicia; his son-in-law Dean, daughter-in-law Meghan; four amazing grandchildren, Leah, Breelyn, Zane and Autumn; his brother, Edward and his wife Lois; and his sister, Alice.

He resided in Mt. Arlington, NJ for the remainder of his life with his wife and three children. Alex loved to spend the weekends swimming and hosting family gatherings in the summer months and always placed first in the family’sannual “roof snowball” tournaments in the winter months. When he wasn’t playing memorable pranks and telling his hilarious jokes with friends and family, he spent his downtime watching his favorite television shows, Abbott and Costello and M.A.S.H. Alex’s favorite comedy routine was the infamous “Who’s on First” by Abbott and Costello.

Alex was a loving, caring, and sweet-tooth indulging son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather who will forever remain in our hearts and memories with each slurp of cereal, chocolate ice cream spills on the kitchen counter, and the sight of a full glass of milk!
