Her Life

Alice Faye Jackson- Lewis was born May 19 1943 to the late Mr. Arthur Jackson Sr., and the late Inez Jackson Peters Trammell in Chambers County, AL. She departed this life on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at her daughter’s resident in Phenix City, AL.

At an early age, Alice Faye accepted Christ as her Lord and savior and united with the Mt. Hermon Baptist church.  In later years she joined Eagles Nest Cathedral, where she a faithful member until declining health. She always spoke words of encouragement to her friends and neighbors.

Alice Faye was product of the Chambers County School System. She attended Rehobeth High School. During her younger years, she was a standout softball player.

Minister Jackson-Lewis was well loved by the children of the neighborhood of Trammell Line. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and caring for her grandchildren.  

She was employed by West Point Pepperell with over 40 years of service before her retirement.

Alice Faye was preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lucious Jackson and the late Mr. Al (Sr.) and Mrs. Lulabelle Peters.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and devoted daughter, Ms. Cassandra Alisa Ingersoll, Phenix City AL; son, Mr. Jeffery (Beverlyn) Jackson, Lanett AL; four grandchildren, Ms. Monica Bledsoe, Valley AL, Mrs. Sherika  Flournoy (Bryan) Kendrick LaGrange GA, Mr. Lamarcus Jackson, Lanett AL, Patrick Rowell, Decatur GA; four great grandchildren, Braylen Burton, Carson Kendrick, McKenzie Jackson, Ericka Jackson; three loving brothers, Pastor Arthur (Jelizabeth) Jackson, Jr., Lanett, AL, Mr. Ricky Trammell, Dayton OH and Mr. Mark Trammell, Atlanta, GA; one loving sister, Ms. Rosemary Trammell, Dayton OH; one loving uncle, Mr. Bobby ( Christine) Jackson, Lanett AL; one loving aunt, Mrs. Marion Jackson, Lanett AL; very special cousins, Apostle Juanita Thomas, Mr. Jimmy (Michelle) Johnson, Lanett, AL, Mr. Willie Lewis (Barbara) Johnson, Fayetteville, NC and Mrs. Sandra Ann(Jerome) Johnson, Whitesville, GA and a host of nieces and nephews and friends; special friends, Ms. Irelia Magby, Ms. Constance Morgan,  Ms. Christine Calloway , Mrs. Shirley Winston and Bishop Elect Bertha Hodge; caregivers, Master Braylen Burton, great grandson, Mr. Charles and Mrs. Angela Belin, Columbus, GA
