Lana and your family, we're so sorry for your loss.

It is with deepest sympathy that I send this message. I was so sorry to hear of Allan's passing. I wish I could have attended the service. I will always remember his visits to our office. I think we talked and laughed about anything and everything and even fitted some business into the conversation before we finished. I will miss those visits from Allan very much.

I will never forget when you and Allan first started dating. The three of us went out for dinner so that we could get to know one another. It was evident how devoted the two of you were to each other right from the start. Allan's goal was to make you happy, which he evidently did for you always smiled in his presence.

Fiona,I'm not sure where to start with my very deep appreciation for having shared so many special moments with Allan. We all wish there could have been countless more.Whether it centered around basketball, playing golf at Mississauga or attending Disco's in Toronto (1979) etc. he was larger than life so so witty,funny and engaging.I miss him very dearly and pray for your family.

My condolences goes out to the Marcy Family in surch a heartfelt time, May God continue to keep you all strong at this time. His Memories will live on.

When I first encountered Allan it was in an old basketball league(suprise!) I immediately noticed what a character he was and got to know him much better when we became good friends at All Pro Basketball Camp. He was a genuinely warm, caring and funny person. I must take credit for introducing him later that summer to Fiona. Heartfelt condolences to the Marcy family .

Rose and I feel incredibly sad and send condolences to his family. Al made a difference in this world. He made a difference to all the girls he coached. He made a difference to Rose and was instrumental in helping her to get into Vassar. He made a difference to me in making me laugh and showing how much he cared about what he did. Al mattered in this world and he will be deeply missed.

A tribute to a larger than life kind of guy, who I shared some of the deepest belly laughs ever. A pleasure to have known you "short bench Al" Deepest sympathies to Fiona and the family.

With deepest sympathy. For a few decades "Big Al" was known to many of his opponents as a fierce competitor, a true gentleman and always one with good humour and sportsmanship. It was a privilege to have played against him those many years. He will truly be missed by all of his basketball buddies!

Deep condolences to Fiona and family. We did not know Allan too long about 7 years. When he came and coached for my organisation -Transway we got to know him a lot better and became good friends. He loved to be around people He loved coaching the girls. never known a person so generous with his time to help in anyway. He liked hearing about Transway Basketball history,.He will be missed

Allan had a special kind of individualism that his friends and family valued deeply. I have known him since we started high school in 1967 and over the years, though we lost contact from time to time, it was always comforting to know that "Big Al" was there. I offer my deepest sympathy to Fiona, Lana and Alex and the rest of the Marcy family. He was a good man and a good friend.
