Burial Service

February 17, 2021
Burial service for our beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt & Friend Mrs Alvira Ewurabena Tanoh will take place at Transitions Funeral Home, Haatso on Wednesday 3rd March at 12.30 pm. Private Burial will take place at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, East Legon
Because of COVID restrictions, both the service and the burial will be private. We will provide a real time video link for those who would want to join the service online. The final funeral rites will be held when it is safe for us all to gather

It is with profound sorrow that the Tanoh and Acquah-Moses families announce the death of their beloved Alvira Ewurabena Tanoh in Accra on Sunday, 7th February 2021 after a short illness. Mrs. Alvira Tanoh worked at GBC for almost 30 years, from the late 1950s until she retired in the 1980s, spending most of her career in TV Presentation. She was the founding Vice President of GBC Ladies Association and was later elevated to President of the Association, serving in that capacity with distinction for a further 11 years. She is survived by four children - Augustus Goosie Tanoh, Eugenia Apeaa Tanoh, Dr. Nat Tanoh and Gyekye Barzini Tanoh - and by five grand children, Christopher, Arelo, Stephen, James and Natasha and two dear Sisters Anita and Baaba and her brother Ghassan Massry. Final Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
