Anda is still with us; she will always be with us all. In our memories, in this world, we will always remember and cherish her warming smile, her eyes, her kind voice.
For the hard grieved family I have one simple thing to say: rejoice, for that a great soul loved you so much.

Anda este tot cu noi; ea va fi pururea cu noi. Zambetul ei cald, privirea-i deschisa si glasul ei vor fi cu noi in continuare pe aceasta lume, in amintirile noastre.
Familiei greu lovite de soarta, imi permit sa-i transmit un mesaj simplu: bucurati-va in continuare ca ati fost iubiti de un suflet deosebit.

We were friends and colleagues in high school in Craiova, Romania, Europe. It was a class with a special program for math. She was the cleverest between us, she allways received the first prize, and now she is the first leaving this world. I remember her in the day when she left from our town to go in USA. She had a little boy in her arms. After years I met her family at Atlanta. I remember that the little boy was a tall young man. Usually I talk too much, but now being so sad I have not more words. Good bye, Anda.

Tribut inlacrimat pentru Anda: Un suflet special, luminos, generos...

A prayer for a special friend,

So go and run free with the angels
Dance around the golden clouds

Although he has taken you from us
And our pain a lifetime will last
Your memory will never escape us
But make us glad for the time we did have

Each precious moment you gave us
Shall never, ever depart
So go and run free with the angels
As they sing so tenderly
And please be sure to tell them
To take good care of you for me

Dr. Gadidov was one of the kindest, brilliant and most humble professors that I have encountered. She was actually the first Mathematics professor I met on my first day at Kennesaw State, during my orientation in June 2010, where she assisted me in registering for classes and helped pave my college career.

Somewhat ironically, I did not get the chance to take one of her classes until my last semester at KSU, which was also the same semester that I met Bogdan. When I was going through a new job and a move, Dr. Gadidov was very understanding throughout. She will be missed greatly and KSU has truly lost a valuable resource.

Goodbye, my friend, goodbye!

Goodbye, my friend, goodbye
My love, you are in my heart.
It was preordained we should part
And be reunited by and by.
Goodbye: no handshake to endure.
Let's have no sadness — furrowed brow.
There's nothing new in dying now
Though living is no newer.

I'm sad to know Dr. Gadidov has passed on but treasure the good memories of how she helped my son Michael at Kennesaw State University. I met her after Michael started doing research as an Honors Student under her mentorship. A key part of being an Honors Student is doing research & I felt like Dr. Gadidov was one woman who was taking my place in my son's life as she guided him. She was a beautiful and smart woman, I respected her very much & am so glad she shared her knowledge & experience with my son. He is such an appreciative person, she will live on as he studies in his masters program in Bio-Statistics @ Drexel U & in his work in statistics @ Drexel's Autism Institute, where he is an intern.

Wow, I had no idea. I'm so sorry to hear this. I never had her for a class but ran into to her occasionally as I went into a classroom she was leaving. I never knew her name but I'm not shy and spoke to her often and my impression was that I would love to take a class from her. It will have to be in a class of angels now.

I never had the privilege of learning from Dr. Gadidov, but I will light a candle for the light that was lost with her passing.

I am very shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Anda Gadidov. She was one of my very close mentors when I was at Kennesaw. I wouldn't be able to go to graduate school at Georgia Tech and be where I am today if it wasn't for her teachings and guidance. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and the KSU community.

Anda was simply an ANGEL among us! She was always ready and willing to do everything she could for everybody. She was a loving wife and terrific mother, a caring professor and a wise mentor, a friendly colleague and a beautiful lady. She always put herself second and that made her happy. I had the privilege to be her friend for almost a decade and I will not forget her. She taught me priceless life lessons that will stay with me forever. I will miss you dearly! Rest in Peace, sweet Anda!

Dr. Gadidov is responsible for a great amount of my academic success in undergrad and beyond. She was my mentor for undergraduate research, so I saw her more than any other professor. Her guidance and encouragement allowed me to enjoy the beauty of mathematics, and travel around the country working and presenting research.
She was a caring mentor. I remember distinctly one of the days I came into her office to work on research, I was clearly sick with a cold. I told her not to mind it, but she insisted on making me a cup of tea from her collection. I definitely won't forget that, and I definitely won't forget her.
Thanks for everything, Dr. Gadidov.

Even though she only claimed to be a Mathematician, she was the most intelligent Statistician I've ever met. Regardless of her office hours, she was always willing to help. Learning from here was a gift that I will never forget. Thank you for everything Dr. Anda Gadidov.

She was a brilliant Mathematician, an accomplished instructor (she taught me the Mathematics of Statistics), and an all-around good person.

Dr. Gadidov was my undergraduate research advisor during my senior year. She introduced me to the world of math research and helped guide me in getting into a PhD program in mathematics. I'll never forget her sense of humor and what an excellent mentor she was for me. She was so dedicated to her work and her students, and I'm glad I had the privilege of being her student when I was at KSU.

You will all notice themes here. We all have the same impressions and memories of Anda. She had a brilliant intellect, yet was nothing but humble. She was the most giving person around. She was always the first to volunteer to help any of her colleagues. She also gave her time freely to students. I have had several students tell me she was the most difficult professor they had but they knew she cared deeply and was willing to work as hard as they were to help them. We are going to miss her presence among us. It is a tremendous loss on every level.

I need to add this. Years ago when Marian Fox needed some help, Anda and her husband were the first to volunteer.

She was so brilliant and so generous with her knowledge. I could go to her and discuss a math problem at any time and she seemed to have all the time in the world. She would be the first to volunteer to cover classes when someone posted a request.

I'm so sad that we have lost Anda. I feel fortunate that I worked closely with her for three years. I respect her intellect, her caring, and her dedication to education. I'm very thankful I had the chance to know her.

I had the opportunity to meet with Anda only few times when I visited the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at KSU in the past couple of years. She was a very friendly, informative, and helpful person. It is a very sad time and we will miss her.

Anda was a very good and kind person who touched the lives of many students and colleagues at Kennesaw State University. I had the opportunity to know her for many years and she is one of the most brilliant people I have ever known. KSU has lost one of its very best faculty members of all time and we will all always remember her and miss her.

Nine long years since she passed away and she is still dearly remembered... How much Horatius' " Non omnius moriar" is true in her case.

I was at Texas A&M while Anda and Radu were there.  I just did a search to see where they were now, and discovered the news of Anda’s passing.  Blessings, Radu, to you and your family
