Still hurts that you & my mom aren't here anymore. Wanda & I did make it to Oxford this past February and Alvin took us back to all the places I had forgotten or didn't remember, and then bought us lunch. I am so thankful for him taking his time to do that for me

I know I speak for many in the Class of '69 when I say that it was a privilege and joy to have Anita as a classmate and friend for many of her 60 years. Her unrelenting optimism and courage were an inspiration to us all. Her's is a life very well lived.

I will never forget all the wonderful times we all had on Baker Street growing up. I can see us now rolling skating and riding bikes around that sharp curve in the sidewalk at Eakes Funeral Home. It is a wonder we did not break our necks on that curve. You are in my prayers

No one better embodied the song "This Little Light of Mine". Thru both good and really hard times, Anita showered those around her with warmth, love, & her spunky humor. Anita, for the way you loved and inspired, you will be sorely missed but so fondly remembered.

Aaron...my heart sunk when Krista told me the news of your mother's passing. I am very sorry for your loss and we have been praying for you and your family and will continue to do so. You know where we are if you need anything.

Aunt Anita I will miss you, i will never forget your visits to whiteville when i was young, my wife & I staying with you the weekend i signed up for the Air Force, the way you and your family took care of us when my dad passed away, and so many more, and your dog pooh!

Always a smile on her face and love in her heart. My sympathy to her family on her passing but you were fortunate to have her in your life.
