Anne Nneka Adewakun (Nee Oputah) 1971-2019

Anne Nneka Adewakun (Nee Oputah) was born in Asaba on March 5 1971 to the family of the late Chief Francis Chukwuemeka Oputah and Augustina Nnebuogo Oputah. She was the second daughter of nine siblings. 

Anne had her primary  and secondary  education in Asaba, Delta state. In 1987, she secured admission to the University of Uyo  where she graduated with a degree in Biochemistry.
She did her mandatory National  Youth Service in Kaduna state where she met the love of her life and husband- Kayode Adewakun. They both served as ministers under Ben Oruma Ministry. 

In 1998 Anne got married to Kayode and their union was blessed with three glorious destinies, Oluwafeyisade, Eniola and Tioluwani. 

Till her home call, Anne supported her husband in ministry at The Resting Place, a church based ministry located in Abuja. She also founded and directed an NGO called Blissful Oaks Foundation, a faith based Organization dedicated to helping those in need develop and become valuable assets to society. 

She will forever be in our hearts.

Anne was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, minister and administrator. 

The final burial service for Anne Adewakun (Nee Oputah) holds at CATHEDRAL OF ST. PETER, ILE-OLUJI, Ondo state. Nigeria. on Friday 26th April, 8am.
