Precious Sister…not a day goes by that I don’t think of you and the wonderful times we had together. You changed my life forever when you took me to Thunder Bay in 1971. I know that you’re watching over me and I hope Dan, Carmencita, Betty B, Diane, and so many more of our friends and loved ones who’ve gone before to pave the way are all having fun! I love you more

Another year and I still miss you terribly. I know you’re watching over me, Dear Sister, and I will be with you again some day. I’m trying to watch over your children and they’re fine. Love you more.

Precious Sister...it’s been 6-1/2 years since you left us and I miss you every day. Those last 2 years 8 months that I lived with you and helped you were some of the best times of my life. I love you more and know I’ll see you again some day.

I have so many lovely photos of Annie's Ol' girls friends in Austin which I am unable to access and send. I tried to send Margaret Merton a couple of them, two of Annie's childhood home and one of Carmen, Mike and me. I hope these make their way to the appropriate web site.
I really miss Annie and loved her so.
Best,
Frances

Precious Sister: On this your 86th birthday, I know you're with me always as I carry your picture in my billfold and your essence in my heart. Thank you for all you did for me on this earth and know that I am forever in your debt for the life I have now. Love you always.

Mrs. Huddleston (Anne) was my fourth grade teacher at Barton Hills Elementary School in Austin, Texas, in 1969-70. I remember her as one of my best teachers. Two specific things I remember from her class: learning about Antarctica, by creating a salt dough model of the continent, and reading "Rifles for Watie," a novel that still inspires me. She was a fine teacher. --Dr. Patrick Pynes

Anne was a great friend and always an inspiration to me. Her leadership at Thorp Spring Church of Christ was amazing. I loved working with her in Vacation Bible School and will treasure those memories. The last years of her life were painful, but she used those years effectively to witness for Christ. Through Anne, I met many new dear Christian friends.  Rest in peace, my dear friend.

Anne was a great inspiration. I will never forget when she told us at Ladies Bible Class that she was terminal and asked for prayers--not for healing, but for her salvation; that she would finish the race and receive her crown. I will hold her in my memories and continue to pray for her family. She is home now.

Annie said she saw Angels around me. I believe she did; she had a direct line to them and God.
Always so interested in what was going on in my life.
And what was in my heart.
I'm so glad my husband got the chance to meet her.
She was and always will be my courage.
Soar with those Angels my friend.

Anne was the rock, the center of a group of lifelong friends. She was the hub that held together our Good Old Girls' Annual Reunion. Earlier it was the Mexican Breakfasts. Then she worked at I.D.A. Press and Lecture Notes--until we laughed all the way to the bankruptcy. Anne was a dearly beloved presence throughout my adult life.

Sweet Anne was a most precious friend, always smiling even when she felt so very awful. To me, she was the epitome of a true Southern Lady
and never waivered in her Christian faith. She was always fun and an inspiration. I will miss her mightily. Rest well dear friend.

Precious Sister: I'm not quite sure how I'm going to make it without seeing your smile every day and your kind words. It's been an incredible journey this past 40+ years and I have you to thank for the path I've traveled...with your love and encouragement there all the time. I love you, Sweet Sister, Rest in Peace in God's arms.

As a close friend of Pat and Lillians, I know Annie will be greatly missed. Her joie de vivre was inspiring . Discussions of her life brought many a smile to my face. She'll be greatly missed by all who were lucky to cross her path .Good bye to you, Annie.

Please click on "her life" above to read Annie's obituary. She was such a special person and lead such a rich life.

I loved her the moment I met her and always felt I could never have hoped for a better mother-in-law. I absolutely love the way she laughed.
I love you Annie and will miss you always.
