Annemarie Sophie Hahnlein, age 83, passed away at her home in La Crescenta, California, on Friday, February 15, 2019.She was born July 30, 1935, in the city of Westerland on the island of Sylt in Germany, to Hermine and Johannes Bahnsen.She married Gunter Ernst Hahnlein on October 4, 1957, in Monterey Bay, California.She worked as a pharmacy technician with Verdugo Hills Hospital over 30 years while exuding such kindness and generosity towards everyone she met.Annemarie truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, spending time with her granddaughters, Bridget Marie, Cristina, and Rebecca, chatting with friends and family, gardening and baking delicious German pastries.She is survived by her husband, Gunter, her two sons, Robert and Werner, her grandchildren, Bridget Marie, Cristina and Rebecca and her sister, Christa.Funeral services will be held at Crippen Mortuary, 2900 Honolulu Avenue, Glendale, California, 91214, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019.Reception to follow immediately after at the La Crescenta Women’s Club, 4004 La Crescenta Avenue, La Crescenta, California, 91214.
