The daughter of the late Jesse and Daisy M. Coleman Hall, Mrs. Jackson was born in Columbus, GA and was graduate of William H. Spencer High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Albany State College (University) and Masters Degree from Columbus State University. She was classroom educator for 32 years, retiring from Wynnton Road Elementary School. She was a member of St. Paul AME Church where she served diligently in the Choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Jackson, her only child, Jo Ann Banks, her siblings.

Survivors include: three grandsons, Justin B. Banks, Jonathan B. Banks (Moneshia) and Joseph B. Banks (Junice); two great grandchildren, Jasmine Harris (Jerry) and Brittnee Banks; a great, great grandchild; two siblings, Jesse Hall and Roberta Phoenix; a loving and devoted friend of 19 years, James Beard; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends to include Rev. Jackie Banks (Christine).
