I lie awake unable to rest
Holding your teddy to my chest.
I listen hard in case I hear
A tiny cry as you shed a tear.
I know you will never see
Flowers, birds, meadows or trees.
I know you will never hear
birds in song or mummy’s tears.
you can touch,smell,feel and see
because my son you can do it through me.
I am your window to life
As you look down from above.
Holding your teddy to my chest.
I listen hard in case I hear
A tiny cry as you shed a tear.
I know you will never see
Flowers, birds, meadows or trees.
I know you will never hear
birds in song or mummy’s tears.
you can touch,smell,feel and see
because my son you can do it through me.
I am your window to life
As you look down from above.
