Our Queen Mother

Beatrice "Judy" Keller passed on to glory in her sleep in the early hours of Saturday December 17, 2011 while at Tracy Convalescent and Rehab Center.  Judy was born April 20, 1940 in Tuskegee, Alabama to John Chappelle and Christine Ferguson.  Judy left Alabama at the age of 4 with her family to move to Charleston, West Virginia.  She attended Garnet High School for two years but finished at Charleston High School in 1956 after it was integrated.  Judy enjoyed a long career as a bookkeeper in Charleston and Detroit Michigan before relocating to California in 1975.  In Pleasanton she continued her career with Kaiser Sand and Gravel before changing professions to her true love of child care in 1981. She provided in home child care in Pleasanton and Dublin for the next 25 plus years and also maintained a motor paper route in the Tri Valley area until she suffered two severe strokes in Jan 2010 just after moving to Mountain House California just two months prior.

 As were wishes cremation services were performed at Fry Memorial Chapel in Tracy, California and her remains will be dispersed in "God's Country" the hills of West Virginia.  A Pillow Cenotaph Plaque space #35 is being prepared for her at Tracy Mausoleum:  8824 W. Shulte Rd Tracy Ca 95376.

Judy touched the lives of so many people and made the world a better place.  She will be deeply missed.  Please feel free to share your thoughts, memories, and photos of your time with our queen mother.  Thank you.
