What a wonderful, beautiful lady, who touched so many lives. I first met Beatrice when I came to Washington on a business trip in the late 1970's. I had become best friends with her daughter Debra, and when I had the opportunity to travel to Washington, I looked forward to seeing Debra again and meeting her family. The highlight of my trip was meeting Beatrice. She welcomed me into her home and made me feel like I was one of her daughters. My birthday took place while I was in Washington and, unbeknownst to me, Beatrice and Debra had orchestrated a surprise birthday party for me. Debra had told her how much I loved chocolate, and Beatrice made me the best chocolate cake that I've ever had and a most delicious birthday dinner. She was such a classy, thoughtful, lady whose strength and reverence to God was apparent as soon as you spoke with her. She was such a shining example of what a great, wife, mother, friend, and human being should be. I will never forget the last conversation we had 4 years ago. She was so upbeat and positive, and our converstation left me feeling warm, loved, and uplifted. Her spirit is still with all of us whose lives she touched, and she will be forever in my heart. I love you Beatrice.......Jamie Cox
