I met Betty once at our cancer support group. She was with her lovely friend. I knew and felt Betty’s beauty the minute I met her. She was radiant with a gentle kindness. Betty told us of her love for her grandsons and she didn’t want them saddened when she died, but we know Betty is in a better place and lives in her family’s heart and will always be with her boys.

My sincerest sympathies to the family. I worked with Betty with contracts and meeting schedules at AstraZeneca. She was a lovely person, always
willing to help as needed. I have many fond memories of Betty.
May she Rest In Peace and May her memory be eternal.

Bette was always so sweet and helpful. I will never forget her starting an acolyte choir at Trinity in Mullica Hill. It helped the young to be a part of the worship. Today, many years later, there are two chocolate ceramic Easter eggs with the names of my sons on my table. She made each choir member an egg for Easter. Always thoughtful. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sorry for your loss Jimmy. I will forever associate your mom with Halloween, and, the smell of mimeograph sheets with her, Mrs. Rope, and Mr. Summerill.

I first met Bettie biking around our development. Bettie could ride like the wind! As the years passed our friendship developed. Every day Bettie would walk up with Maggie to walk "the circle" with Bandit & me. What was extremely interesting was finding Bandit's reaction to both Bettie & Maggie. Bandit was a rescue & had major fears of people & animals but immediately responded to Bettie! Now as we walk pass Bettie's, Bandit stops, looks, & pulls for a stop & visit! Visits with Bettie always included recipes, shared interests, where to go to get the best "treats", & how to find the best sales! As our talks continued we both discovered there were many parallels in our lives so we played the game, 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon, to continually discover how much we had in common. As we journeyed these past 6 months together, we both expressed our thoughts as to wishing we had started our friendship earlier! But be that as it may, we bonded in a friendship which will continue with remembrance of Bettie with fun & loving memories and with "blue man" @ my side! The warmest thank you to the Stiles family for embracing me in the final leg of Bettie's life. Thoughts, love, & prayers are with you all! Special word to Tammie regards my cell phone being no longer @ my side continually. Gotta use the landline now! Only kept it turned on for Bettie so it will now Rest In Peace in the arms of "blue man!" And Jim will never have to text back, "Who is this?"
