Today would have been your 83rd Bday. You were remembered by family and
friends once again. You are still very much missed.
I am now a 2 time cancer survivor and trying to keep moving.
I walked very slowly around Commonwealth Park today and
thought about the many times we did that together. Then I went
to Einstein's for breakfast. They have open seating once more - we had
lots of breakfasts there, it was once of our favorite spots.
Planning a trip to St. Louis to see family and Tom & Lucy. I have traveled
more this year than I have in years - New York w/ Sherron & Amy
Canada train trip with Lee's family.
Still doing the quilts for Providence - 50 so far this year.
I'm doing pretty well, but miss you every day and every way - particularly
miss the political discussions. We would be having some dandy ones about
Trump etc.
The kids are al fine - Sheron & Rob retired this year and Bob will next year.
Lucy started school and Emme is in pre-school. You would enjoy these two
very much, They are happy, healthy children.
All my love, Peppermint Patty (smile)

I watched the video that the family did for your memorial, so many pictures
of you over the years. I can't believe you have been gone for 6 years.

Amy said you would be proud of how well the family is doing.
Amy & Brian are doing well with their floral business. Haley says
you would be proud of how Lucy & Emme love their veggies. Haley &
Ben are both teaching in Portland schools.
Sherron & Rob are planning to retire in 2023,can you believe our daughter
will be retiring at 60? Bob & Theresa are doing well as are Nancy & Steve.
Tony is still in the Air Force and Josh is in Kansas City.

I'm tired of the containment COVID has forced on me, but I'm doing well
health wise and just waiting for a time when I can do some traveling.
I had some extensive work done in the backyard so that I can enjoy staying
home. You would have hated the cost, but loved the results.

Bob you will forever be in my heart and mind - you are truly unforgettable.
Happy New Year 2022 form your loving family.

Bob
I am hoping that you have been able to be joined with Jane. She left
us on December 16th.
You will be forever missed ! I'm glad that you missed this year of the pandemic. You would have had a very hard time being confined for
such a long time. We all hope an pray that the vaccine will save lives that
would have been lost.
All my love forever!

Bob, you will be forever missed - best friend I ever had and best one to
talk about everything, but especially politics. You were right about Trump
winning - although you didn't want that either - smile!
Thank you again for moving us to Oregon!
You would be so happy to see how well our children and grandchildren
are doing. You would love Lucy who is 2 and a delight and will be having
a sister or brother late this year.
All my love from your favorite girlfriend.

When I think of Dad I see him in the stars - moving farther from us on his next journey.
Stardust to stardust.

Today is his birthday - while I think of Dad everyday I let him slip in and out of my mind, never letting myself dwell on the sadness but today... memories are rolling in bringing tears.

Today is his birthday - not a day we really celebrated, we're not a big birthday family but we had small traditions. No singing (tone deaf, the lot of us), one huge candle in the middle of the cake, no presents just sharing time.

I miss you Dad - today I'll think about you and I thank you for everything.

Bob and Pat were our neighbors for 10 years, many years ago. It is difficult for me to talk about Bob without including Pat, because both of them were the very best neighbors and friends we have had. To this day, many years later, we are so grateful for the friendship and kindness they offered to "the newly weds in the house across the street." We had so many good times and good conversations with Bob and Pat. You think about those who have influenced you and made a difference in your life and Bob is right at the top of my list. His dedication to his family and his community was something that we never forgot. It truly made a difference in our lives and I'm sure that it made me a better person and parent.

Thank you Bob Meinert for being a shining example of integrity, of commitment to family, and commitment to helping others in need.

Played softball and basketball with Bob in the 70's. Wonderful guy and always fun to be around. Very sorry to hear of his passing.

I came to know Bob about 10 years ago through our connection to the auto parts business world. We had many discussions about what we thought was right and wrong with our world. We laughed a lot and I truly enjoyed his personality. I have only good memories of Bob and know the world has lost a wonderful person but, Heaven has gained one.

I met Bob while working in the automotive industry. He was one of the good guys, always upbeat, with a smile and that humor too. He was a gentle man and the kind of person that makes the world a better place. We need more Bobs in our lives. I am grateful my life's paths crossed his. I am grateful too he introduced me to his daughter Sherron, as that enabled me to see the love and the connection the Meinert family has.My sincere condolences to Pat , and the family as they begin to try to heal this huge void in their lives. Give yourselves plenty of time, as this is a huge loss~~~~~~~~

My Father was a good person, strong and kind. He also had an incredible sense of humor. I miss him in my world --

Bob was a high school classmate and a basketball teammate. He was competitive in sports, a superb "team player," and inspirational in his commitment to play hard no matter what the scoreboard read.
As a friend he was supportive, fun-loving, and loyal. He was, in a word, genuine, a friend who felt your pain and enjoyed your success.
After his move to Oregon, I saw him only on occasion. His life, his wife and his family clearly reflect the character of the man I knew many years ago. May he live in God's eternal joy and may God's protective light shine on his family.
