My Norwegian friend used to tease me (Stromberg is Swedish) with this Norwegian childhood verse. When I think of this verse today I think of your Dad....he is that ONE Norweigan. Var Viking.
10.000 svenskene løp gjennom ugress jaget av en norsk!
10,000 Swedes ran through the weeds chased by ONE NOrwegian.
I would also like to say to your Dad "takk" for a lovely daughter who became my friend.
Sending you love and light
Sharon
We miss you so very much and thank you for the little signs you show us that never cease to amaze, and confirm that you are close by and watching over your loved ones. I love you always and forever.

Thinking about Bob and the wonderful life you and your family always had..I still look at the photos of the kids at your cottage from time to time...they still remember you and Bob..and all the fun they had on the Niagara River. Blessings..Dorothy Stahlnecker
It is not difficult to remember this infamous day when Bob, a man who loved life and lived live to the fullest, was taken from us to be with our Creator. He left us with many good memories from times together at Duke and later in life with his wonderful family.

We say farewell to a wonderful man. Our memories include much laughter but most of all a family who loves each other through all life's problems. Bob will be remembered by us always as a man to be emulated and cherished. We are so sorry for your loss but how blessed you are to have had him in your life! God Bless You All!
With great memories of Uncle Bob and thoughts of each of you on Uncle Bob's birthday. What a blessing he was and remains to all !! Love Jerry and Susan Webb

may Bob gallantly sail the heavens with his Viking ancestors. Mary & Bill Schaab
It is a long way back to those happy days in GI but they are fond memories. Bob lived with the mantra, "I pass this way but once; if I play my cards right, that will be enough." It probably was just about enough but he would never admit that.
The memories are rich and the prayers are useful.

I am so glad I was able to see everyone at your 50th Wedding Anniversary! Bob was as I had always remembered him, and that is, a very warm hearted, friendly, and embracing soul that knew how to enjoy life. And this was way back in the day when I met him over a long weekend when I came to visit the Family in Grand Island. Hope to see you soon.
It was an honor to have the pleasure to meet a fellow Norse adventurer who valued his wife and produced a daughter of rare elegance and beauty.
All the best to you and your family,
Greg Pennyroyal

Though I only met Bob once, I enjoyed him so very much. He had such a zest for life and his love for his family just exuded from him. You were his treasures and he is busy preparing more surprises and treasures for you all in our eternal home. I pray comfort for you all and joy in the memories and in the promises to come.

This takes me back 40 years. I remember when the Jensen Family moved to Grand Island. The whole family was always so full of life. Sundays our family went to Youngs or Jensens for picnics and water skiing. Always so much fun. Another memory was the first time I went in their house the living room had a white carpet! Miss you all. XO,Deb
When the Lord calls our loved ones home, He leaves a gift of memories in exchange, the blessings of life's fullness. Miracles happen when two hearts become connected, and memories can never be erased. Have hope in tomorrow, have faith in the everlasting, and take comfort in the love of friends and family.
Wishing you & your families strength and peace.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful man with all of your friends here in San Diego! Everyone of the "girls" thought of him as our dad here in San Diego! A beautiful man and a beautiful soul! He was fun, funny, endearing and thoughtful of all who knew him. He will be lovingly remembered,,,Susan Ward

Bob..a class act
It is hard to believe that Bob's passing was two years ago today! His presence still lives on. He was a wonderful man and a friend to all of us! As friends of Cindy, we were family! He was the resident parental figure. When he and Fran attended Jazz Fest and met my parents, he and my dad were like two peas in a pod! So many memories of Bob...he and Fran always getting to the Del Mar concerts early and setting up a wonderful spot for us...always being his smiling presence at all events. One of my favorites is Jazz Fest in New Orleans after Katrina...we had a wonderful time! He is missed and yet still present in spirit,,,,definitely a class act and glad and proud to have known him and called him a friend!
Happy Anniversary!
Today (June 7th) would have been my parents’ 53rd wedding anniversary. Their true love and commitment to each other in good times and bad is how I continue to envision all great marriages. My hope is that all your relationships include love, faith, joy, kindness, trust, respect, laughter, support, patience, sharing, an appreciation of family and of each other’s unique gifts and abilities. Thank you to everyone who contributes to this website with their memories and stories. It means so much to us and we are grateful for so many wonderful friends and family!
Mom and Dad,
Thank you for being such incredible role models. Happy Anniversary!!
Always and Forever,
Love, Cindy
Growing Up with Bob Jensen, my brother
Dear Friends, I feel privileged to have had a brother who was fun, inspirational and caring. As a teenager, it seemed special to know that there was someone older I could turn to if needed. Not only did I love meeting all his teenage buddies, but he was there to teach me to drive a car when turning 18. What a treat to tool around his bulbous big black Buick convertible. Our family was always entertained with Bob's sense of humor as our sister Peggy was the perfect foil for his wisecracks and they could go on forever, unlike sisters Dotty and MJ who just enjoyed the entertainment. We all enjoyed many family reunions at Fran and Bob's marvelous river property in Grand Island, NY. I will never forget when he pulled my 12 year old son Karl all way round the island on water skiis! He enjoyed my 3 sons while I loved his gorgeous daughters whom I appreciate more than ever! I look forward to our heavenly reunion one day. His nephews carry on the family tradition of loving motorcycles and I have to admit we have photos of my Dad as young man riding a cycle on Staten Island, NY. Vaya con Dios Bob! All my love, Dotty
