Ade Boy on BBN

September 29, 2021
Hey mama,

Guess what!!! Ade has been on Big Brother Nigeria Season 6. They call it the Shine Ya Eye season. He remembered and spoke about you very fondly and I just remembered "Ade Boy". He's a celebrity now mama. Ade is crushing it out here. He met a girl on the show but that story is for another day.

Dad suggested that being a billionaire is a good idea and guess what they call Ade now- Billionaire Saga.

Still painful everytime having to write like this but it's well. Love you always and forever!

You Will Live Long In Our Hearts

November 21, 2014

I can't but wish you well in Heaven where I believe you are right now. Your wake-keep pamphlet refuses to leave my office bag and I keep stumbling on it always. You lived a fulfilled life and we can never forget you in a hurry.

I remember your jovial advice to young couples during the last Zonal Family get-together held at Increase Parish, RCCG, you said and I quote "This is the time for you young couples to enjoy yourselves and not deny your partners that 'thing' as there would be time when you won't bother yourselves with that 'thing'. We never knew you were speaking in parable to those of us who sat round that table.

We miss you and we'll continue to miss you Mama Mission!

Sleep on, we love you.

Glad I met you

The first time I met mummy Okusaga was last year during her visit to the UK and in the last week of her holiday she and her Deolu came to spend the night at our place and even before meeting her I felt like I already knew her after listening to numerous stories about her from my mum who were buddies for over 20yrs. I remember the day she visited I was the one who opened the door as I was home alone and as soon as she saw me she greeted me with a warm smile and a hug and immediately I felt at ease with her! she was just so friendly and easy going and before we knew it we were talking the night away :) I still remember the lovely stories she shared with me of her school days and how her face lit up as she told funny stories of her children and we all burst into laughter. The next day as she got her stuff ready and prepared to leave I remember asking her to stay a bit longer as I enjoyed her company soo much but she promised that next year she would spend most of her holiday at our place and I was excited not knowing it was the last time I would see her beautiful smile or listen to her lovely stories. I'm glad I met you I miss you so much! May your beautiful loving soul continue to rest in peace!

Fun Stories as Neighbors

August 28, 2014

I remember those early days of my childhood when i we usually come to your apartment for evening fellowship i know what usually catches my eyes were the biscuits and drinks we would get after the fellowship...i know that's one thing i wouldn't miss for the world.
I also remember those days when my parents usually come home late from work and it was usually boring in the afternoon especialy when there's no light. She would do well to enetertain us (I and my siblings) and make it fun for us to the point where by we would want to come back the next day.

I'm happy i've been opportuned to live in the same compound with her because of her impact in and outside the environment.

God bless U!!!...... O:)

One thing “my beloveth” loved the most about my sister and I is just how we dance, I cant explain it, we aren’t the best at dancing but she would always want to watch or force us to performing for her or any of her friends whether it’s the azonto, etigi, yahooze, alanta and the likes. she would sometimes even go as far as pleading for us to dance, just for her amusement.

This beautiful day, we were at a small wedding anniversary and the Dj started to play, he played the azonto song at the time and most guests started dancing but the place was filled with guests that loved the dance and not guests that could actually dance. “My beloveth”, as usual was trying to make the event more lively, after pulling all her strings, she just yelled at my sister and I to come to the centre, persuading us to show everyone how to dance, we reluctantly did and everybody began to cheer, most people got to their feet and the dancing continued. Later on, “my beloveth” came to join me as you can see in the photograph and we went on and on…

If I could dance you to life, I wouldn’t stop till your heart beat again… I love you my beloveth… Always and forever

Gosh! I’ve so many stories to tell... Let me start with this one.
O well, sister Sade in our church wants to get married. Something very funny happens; she calls me to be a groomsman, woooo :0, and then I jump at the idea because its an opportunity for “my beloveth” to by me a new suit (black)…

Its my first time as a groomsman, “my beloveth” is so proud of me, soo proud, I’m sure in her thoughts I was becoming a gentleman, we took a lot of pictures showing how proud she was of me…

Hmmmmmmmn Hmmmmn...
My hand shivers as I write this.....
She was like a mother .......

I remember the day I had issues with my dad on Fathers day one sunday over money for hair
My dad told her about it and she said in yoruba 'Kun le sibe ko be baba e, Why would you be giving your dad attitude?'

I did that, she spoke to Dad and Daddy was happy. Then she called me to the corner and said I shouldnt be angry knowing that my dad has no other woman he's taking care of to know how much a lady spends on hairdo. And she explained better as a mum would and I understood better.

I remember our trip to Abuja, Grandpa's burial.....

She played the part of a mother in my life even when my mum was not there in person.... She told me stories about marriage, about holding on till the end no matter what, about life in general........

Sleep in heavenly peace Mummy Okusaga where you dont have to bother about traffic, no light, Lagos Stress, bad roads etc

We love you but God loves you more.

one of mums most embarrassing moments

August 19, 2014

on holiday with my baby cousins fiona and martin who happen to be a combimation of naughty when put together in one place. anyway after on long afternoon of shopping and sight seeing, we decide to go home using the underground trains. at this point we were all exausted and mum with her infinate mummy power and authority gave we the children (ade, uncle kunle, aunty idowu and i) all the bags to carry. leaving the responsibility of chasing my cousins in her hands. on stepping into the long downward escalators, these wonderful children started causing trouble as usual and my mum trying to silence them and in the process fell on her bum in the escalator and had to enjoy the ride sitting on the floor till the end!

I met her only once, but the warmth and joy she exuded never left my mind, I heard this news and it shattered my day, my bosses were asking what was wrong, i could only force a smile and say 'nothing'. Rest in Peace mummy.

The one i would definitely never forget....

I had just met mummy's friend from a long time ago. small girl like me in Jss 2, she says...

"so what are you doing about mummy and daddy? do u want them to come back together?"

I laugh at the seemingly impossible responsibility. She would be the first person to ever give me such responsibility, and she says we are going to my house now!!

We watch the movie together,i eat. drink i laugh...a lot, feel better and am ready to face the world!!! The beginning of future treats and tripz.

Mummy, if they ever do, u were God's first instrument. If never, you're still a big part of the story. Lots of love

"sing a song of love,

live a life of happiness,

do a deed of kindness today..

do a deed of kindness, do a deed of kindness everyday."

That was her...
