Uncle, I still can’t believe I am writing a tribute because of your passing. Words cannot describe this difficult moment, but if this is the last time I get to say goodbye then I know I will do so with the knowledge that I consider myself blessed to have lived this life around you. You touched so many lives by your selfless and countless acts of kindness, always giving and never expecting any favours in return. Your dedication to a cause was what set you apart.
You have left a void in the family that will never be filled. We will miss your little jokes and dances...
While we mourn today, we also take comfort in the fact that your mission on earth have been fulfilled. We thank the Lord for your life and bid you farewell until we meet again

Daddy it's really hard to come to full realisation that you are truly gone. It still seems a nightmare but truly no updates of the current situation in Cameroon has come forth from you.
I will miss you and all the little advice and corrections you gave.
You lived a life that impacted everyone around you, the jokes and little dance moves are all memories that will live on. Though you are gone you are very much alive in our hearts.
It's really hard for us because mum left 22 years ago and now you have left too.

Chief Bote, Pa Bote, Bamunka Boy!!...... You left your footprints on the sands of time. The credit union family will remember you for your stringent control ensuring that not a franc of members' hard-earned savings got misused or missing. We learned from your professional experience.

You worked hard but always found time to take a Castel.

In our last WhatsApp communication in January you told me "the boy" was doiing fine only to die in February!
You liked to crack jokes. Even when illness took away your voice you bore it bravely and would quickly write down what we couldn't hear. You still made jokes about your health situation and we all laughed.

Daddy...so you are truly gone! I will miss your continuous updates on things happening in Cameroon, your biweekly checking up on me and the family, your many advice on life.

Your departure was so sudden and I'm yet to wrap my head around everything, and the fact that our chat on January 14th was the last. I'm so thankful that I got to see you on Christmas and the 12th of January on video call. I will hold on to the image of your smile forever.

You were a deligent, honest, loyal, funny and kind father and friend to many. You believed and thought us the value of education and the importance of upholding good work ethics. I will hold all these memories close to my heart.

Pah Ketty the last time you were hospitalized to the Mbingo Baptist Hospital I had the opportunity to visit you on your sick bed. You were quite hopeful and assured me that though your vocal cords we're to deleted you were going to do all to live your normal life. True to your words we have been communicating frequently.But this time around we could not . I would remember you for your stringency and frankness. May the heavenly gates be wide open to your soul until we can meet again. Adieu. NGUFOR.
