June 22, 1988, 4:02 pm Oprah Winfrey on the television my bouncing baby boy is born and I shall call him Brendan! wow here I am a skinny(pre-preggo), 16 year old girl and I just gave birth to another human being. And now I MUST grow up!!!

From the beginning, my Brendan let me know that he was going to do things his way and like most if not all parents we convince ourselves that we are in control. Not so!!!! One look into his big brown eyes and I melted. Simply put and I quote my Goddaughter Alex; "You were 100% Brendan 100% of the time!"


Besides being beautiful he was energenic, intelligent, witty, talented, fun,stubborn, and very deep. An old man in a lil body.Bren never slept in his crib because I had a dream it collapsed while he was in it so he slept with me. I'll never forget when he was about 16 months I decided to take a nap while he was awake in bed (which he slept with me till 10 or 12); unbeknowst to me during my slumber he found a bottle of my red nail polish and painted not only my face but the bed, the walls, and anything within his reach. I was, lets say," a lil upset" with him but he was soo proud of his work he was clapping and dancing. Needless to say during my naptimes he stayed in his crib and to be honest that's really the only time he did.
