Visitaion service will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 at W.E. Lusain Funeral Home and Crematory OH (2060 Germantown Street/Dayton, OH 45417). The service will be from 12pm-1pm.
Brett Aaron Williams, Sr., 57, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his home on February 13, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Williams, brother Bruce A. Williams, paternal grandparents, John and Mavis Williams, maternal grandparents Reuben and Anna Sorrells, Turner D. Potter, and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Brett attended Jefferson Sr. High School and was a 1985 graduate of Colonel White High School in Dayton, Ohio, where he played basketball. He went on to attended South College in Savannah, GA. Brett valued loyalty in friendships, enjoyed good action movies, and was a huge car enthusiast. He took great pride in taking care of his four children, had a close bond with his nieces and nephews, and took care of any other children he saw in need. Affectionately known as “6-9”, Brett was passionate about, and believed in standing up for the rights of the African American community.
He is survived by his devoted mother Birdie A. Williams (by four days); four sons Brett A. Williams, II, Turner J. Williams, Breez Williams, and Brandon Alexander; sisters Renee Kinlock and Beverly Williams; and brother, Robert L. Williams; half-brothers and sister, Michael Bailey, Darnell Wood, and Denise Ford; two grandsons, Jonah L. Williams and BJ Alexander; lifelong friend, Keita Walker, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and relatives.
