Dear Katie and Whitney, I had the deep pleasure of working with Candace for several years on projects for FWP. I'm a farm and ranch appraiser. We would meet out on the land and would always end up having the best Soul talks. I considered Candace a dear human being and friend. I visited with her last year and it was so good to hear her voice. I only just found out today that she took her leave. I am so happy that the two of you were with her as the privilege of escorting a loved one to the veil is amazing and so life changing. Good work! She loved you and your families dearly and was always so happy to tell stories of the newest birth and good time she had helping and loving on the grandkids. Candace was a soulful being who was kind, loving, and generous of heart. She cared so much about this earth we live on. My heart goes out to you and your loved ones. I am grateful to have walked the land with Candace. Sending love and care, Kim Bennett, Big Timber, MT

I had the pleasure of working with Candace at FWP and experienced her positivity and drive first hand. She made a positive difference for so many of us. Her spirit lives on with good memories as I reflect on her courage and passion for life!

Whitney and Katie and families,
From your Helena Community School days through your high school years, we remember how active and vibrant was your family! Your Mom was very involved in your school and many community activities and it was always good to be part of any activity that included your family. Candace added a verve that made it fun! We will remember those days with a smile and wish you all the solace of your memories with her. John & Jan, Jeff & Joel Wilson

Whitney & Katie,
I got to know Candace working here at FWP and soon discovered she was also a regular at Farmers Market. She was always smiling and when I'd see her here at work or about town I was always left with the impression of her happiness. I will miss her. All the best to you and your families and here's to the great lady your mother was.

Hi Katie and Whitney and all of Candace's friends and family,
I had the fine pleasure of getting to know Candace on my daily walking breaks around the Montana capitol complex over the past 12 years. I would often run into this beautiful lady with gorgeous skin that looked like she just graduated college out in the parking lots and on the campus trails. I was always so impressed with how she carried herself with such grace and we would often share stories of how to live healthy and strong for decades to come and of course that meant time outdoors; perhaps it was just our way of justifying those walks during a long day in the office:). She was always so inspiring to be around and I was fortunate to get to know her a lot better over the past 4 years when we worked together on some significant land projects. Her spirit will forever live in the mountains and trails of Montana both through her professional effort and personal experiences! I'll be thinking of her during the spring wildflower bloom as I stroll through the high country!

One of the first persons I met before coming to Montana was Candace. She was on Jim Barngrover's email list and helped me plan a surprise Birthday party for him, even though she had never met me. Yes she was fun to know. Best wishes to her children and family.

I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I got to know your mom when you, Whitney, were at Central school. But through the years I would connect with her at political events, symphonies and various community functions. Each time she would update me on both of you girls. She was SO proud of both of you!  I will miss those encounters with her. She will surely be missed. I hope happy memories will help you through these tough times.

My heart goes out to you, Whitney and Katie and your families. Your mom was a delightful and very helpful parent in our classroom. I can only imagine how much you’re missing her. Hugs! Donna Turcott

I met Candace working with her on a project for Montana State Lands. I immediately admired her organization, professionalism, and (most of all) her wit. Later, she was part of the troupe producing Saturday Night Live in Helena, working behind the scenes to help keep us (well, get us) organized. She was a delightful person ... always upbeat.

Sheena and I knew Candace from the Helena Community School days in the early 90s when our children attended that wonderful school. Condolences to her family, her friends and all those who were fortunate to cross her path.

She will be missed, but is off on the next great adventure.

Sincerely,

john & sheena

Candy was such fun. I knew her pretty well at a time she and Bernie worked on my family’s place. She had remarkable energy. She had her 1st meningioma while working there. She couldn’t drive for quite a while so I was her driver
