I worked for two different animal shelters.....sad to see how these orphans of the desert (live in Arizona) are just tossed out in the desert. We do what we can, but, never enough. Thank God he had you in his final moments .

I have 2 dogs that are my life,I would never even think of abusing them,The one thing they want and need is love they give it back to you,you will never find a more loyal animal then a dog,we should do to the abusers what they do to there animals,leave them in a crate in freezing weather,how can anyone abuse a helpless animal,please think if you want a dog then want it forever,this is to my babys Octavious my

The horrors of mankind should not surprise us as we have seen more than just abuse at their hand. But the fact that we can feel it and be impacted by it, motivates us to do something about it, and THAT will help ensure that there is less of it in the future. Captain did not die in vain. His light lives on in Heaven, and on Earth, as a tribute, and as a light for others like Lauren, who bravely and whole heartedly work to help other dogs in need so that less and less animals suffer needlessly at the hands of those who continue to walk this Earth with no conscience and no heart. To Captain, a beautiful soul, and now an angel, to help guide others who selflessly work for his cause.
