Remembered him last night with some good friends, who never knew him. They were in awe of such a life as his, and told me how lucky I was to have known someone, who could speak with any body about any subject, leaving their minds a richer place. Happy Birthday Carl

Always liked Carl- knew him from the peace movement- my kind of writer/journalist!

Carl's favorite saying was "That's AMAZING" because life amazed him. So curious and amazed at people, their stories and life. That photo of Carl says it all - happy as a clam surrounded by mountains (avalanches) of soon to be read papers and books.
I'll miss Carl.
