To Cathy's family,

You all have been on my mind and heart and I wanted to express how I felt about your beloved Cathy. Although I spent time with her only a few times, Cathy left a lasting impression and I felt connected to her.

I will never forget the day we moved our girls into their dorm room at BoCo. Savannah and Carina were so excited to be roommates. Cathy and Jorge were there every step of the way. Cathy, carefully and thoughtfully unpacking Carina's suitcases. I could tell she was a little tired, but Cathy was strong and determined. She spent the entire day making sure everything was just right in that dorm room, while her beloved Jorge ran around getting food and drinks for everyone. I felt so very blessed that my Savannah would be living with Carina. I knew this was a very special family.

Over the next few years I had a few more opportunities to spend time with Cathy and family. I remember we all went to Boston to see our girls perform in a Tennesee Williams production. We all went to dinner afterwards and I just remember thinking Cathy was so stunning and graceful. Her soft spokeness was enchanting. Our girls were celebrating their 21st birthdays that evening...very memorable.

The last time that I saw Cathy was in May of 2015. This time her other beautiful daughter, Tiana, accompanied the family to Boston for Carina's graduation. I was so happy to see her and talk to her. She was radiant as usual. This woman made a lasting impression.

Jorge, Carina and Tiana, our family is deeply saddened by your loss. We have comfort in knowing that Cathy is in heaven and walks amongst the angels. She has always been an angel. Please know that we think about you all the time. May God hold you close and heal your hearts each and every day, one day at a time.

We love you all so much,

Darren, Lori, Savannah, Landen and Charlotte

To the family of Cathy,
Please let me extend my condolences to you. It is unnatural to lose a loved one in death.  When we read the account of Lazarus, it teaches us that the resurrection is a reality. Jesus taught that someday "all those in the memorial tombs" will be resurrected. (John 5:28,29) Not only will Cathy be resurrected to life on earth but she will have an opportunity to live forever on this earth in peaceful and happy conditions. (Ps. 37:11, 29) I hope that these expressions from the Bible help to bring you some comfort and hope.
