His Life

Born in Beaufort, SC he was the son of the late Rachel A. Jackson. Residing in Columbus most of his life, he was a 1989 graduate of Kendrick High School. Cedric's grandmother(and adopted mother)the late Mrs Versie M. Hinton was very proud of the fact he completed school with a perfect attendence record that was duly recognized by the Governor and published in the Ledger-Enquirer. Cedric was employed through Georgia state run programs, including the Supported Employment Program(SEP), where he worked for Goodwill Industries and Target in recent years. Cedric loved life and showed much love to those closest to him. He had a vision of one day having a spouse and family of his own. He was an exceptional swimmer and loved music. He was a member of Holsey Chapel C.M.E. Church.

Other than his biological mother and grandmother(and adopted mother), he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Archie L. Jackson, Sr and an aunt, Artie J. Bransford.

Surviving are his adopted father, Clem Hinton; three uncles, Archie L. Jackson Jr, Carter B. Jackson and Clovis L. Jackson(Marlene); several great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
