Woo! Where do I begin? 28 years.
As friends who became parents, we had to learn about co-parenting, and then we became friends again.
Junior's story continues even after his death, as he still occupies a considerable part of my heart.
Junior's enduring love for Tyree, born in July 1998, remained until his death. When it comes to his son, he has no limits for love. God blessed my son with a great father, and I will be eternally grateful for his love, comfort and support for my family and me. With my son under Junior's care, I could have rested easy. Junior gave me peace of mind whenever I called him inquiring about Tyree's location. His father would always tell me, Dee, to go back to sleep. He is fully protected; I got him. I would go back to sleep each time, but you can bet I would still call. Tyree was always fully protected -
When I fought to get Ty to come live with me in 2014, he said, "I'm letting him come, but don't let a fly touch him.". Tyree was always fully protected.
Junior cemented himself into my family, and they loved him to the end. He never gave up fighting for my mommy's love and affection and got what he desired. He joked about Elroy being the sweet soap and him being the salt soap - oh, the laughter whenever we had the opportunity.
Junior never prepared me for this moment - I will forever be unprepared, but rest well, Junior, I am going to work overtime to Protect Ty. I know you did not fight death, and it came easy for you because you know that I NOW GOT TY.
