I met Mr.Phillips when I first came to work at Haywood funeral home he was a positive man he would always tell "LaMont if you want anything it's best to buy your own.never borrow.." he was a pleasure to work with and hang with I would visit his home and he would take me out back where he would hit his golf balls..and we would talk until i got paged back to work R.I.P. My brother...

Daddy I can feel you in my heart! I know you still with me daily.our God is my ultimate source. However, it is your blood running through my vains that keeps me going. Your strength all that I watched , listened, and learned in those 86 years. Rest easily. I got this!! I got, this and I will keep on pressing on!!!

Oh daddy, the baby's are hurting. I need all my saints to pray for us all on this day. It is finally here. I have to watch the pain in their eyes and be the strong one for them all. Thank you Lord for your strength in advance that you will give us all on this day!!

No matter how old you are, you are always your mother's/father's/grandfather's child. The loss is no easier to bear, the void is no easier to fill, and the yearning to speak, to touch, to share is just as strong. Just try to remember that each day we are separated brings us one day closer to being reunited in Heaven if we do right here on earth. Love you all. Sleep tight and think of the good memories today. Rest in Peace Mr. Phillips. My condolscences to the family. I've known Mr. Phillips since I met Crystal in 1981. Once we found out we were homegirls from Queens, we immediately became family. He has always treated me like a daughter, I will always remember that and I will always love him for that.  Stay strong Phillips family, he is at peace now.

To the family, and especially to Mr. Phillips, You have my deepest sympathy, to the family the word reads in Proverbs 2:10,11. When wisdom enters your heart, and knowledge is pleasant to your soul.

My Dear Family; Uncle Charles has always been an integral part of my life due to the closeness he and Dad shared as the only surviving siblings of Berta and Alonzo Phillips. His physical presence and amazing wit will leave an ache within our hearts; but his humanity and Spirit will be with us forever more. My heartfelt LOVE for you all.

Uncle Charles, you will be greatly missed. There was never a dull moment around you. You will surely be missed and never forgotten.
The Lord has called you home now, so no more suffering, no more pain.

Brother Charles Phillips was a gentleman and gracious spirit. He will be missed! I'm so very glad God allowed me to come to know this outstanding spirit.
