Chuck was my sister's son so I knew him from birth. My brothers and sisters were in the waiting room of juvenile court. We were there because our father had died and my oldest brother and grandmother were trying to get custody and our mother was fighting it. Our oldest sister said she had a secret, she was pregnant. Our youngest brother's wife had a secret too, she was also pregnant. Then Chuck's mama, Peggy Ann Hatcher Hibner, said she was pregnant also. Chuck was the first to be born, in March. The other two were born in September, one on my wedding anniversary and the other on my husband's birthday.
There are so many memories. I remember when Deborah married and her last name became Mullis. His father was a preacher so we told her she would have to behave.
Chuck and my children grew up together. They had fun together, then everyone started growing up and going their own separate ways. Because he lived in another state we didn't go visit. The last time I saw him was at the Hatcher family reunion about 4 or 5 years ago.
Even though we didn't see him the family kept up with what was going on.
We will miss him very much.

So sad to hear of Chuck's passing. Growing up we had some of the funniest and funnest times as cousins. You will be missed.
